Anyone sitting in jail because of one of these cops investigations should be freed. These cops are liars and can't be trusted. The flood gates of lawsuits and sentences being overturned should be opened. Any lawyer looking for work should be on their way over there.

with great power comes great responsibility -- i tend to grant a little leeway on honest mistakes as humans make them but there should also be great accountability when you choose to bold face lie.
you should take the standard punishments for perjury/falsifying reports and multiply them by 10 for a situation like this.

This. Happens. All. The. Time.
Literally nothing in this story surprises me.
This guy needs to get out of the Parish or he will be arrested or dead within the year. If you think I am speaking in hyperbole all I have to do is point to the original story.

That's disgusting, especially the so-called "witnesses" that attested to hearing slaps and whatnot.
Seems weird that he just walked up and put the envelope in that officer's chest, but either way this whole situation is pretty scary.
Also:
The narrator of that story needs to be careful pronouncing that. Good Lord..
Every time he says it, I have to think about what he's saying.

How can the cops and lawyers sleep at night knowing that they could send an innocent person to jail for the rest of their life. This just blows my mind.
Who are sociopaths for $300

Another example of why you should ALWAYS record EVERY encounter with police.

quote:Makes me wonder what this POS cop did to have a brutality lawsuit filed against him in the first place.
Dendinger agreed to act as a process server, giving a brutality lawsuit filed by his nephew to Chad Cassard as the former Bogalusa police officer exited the Washington Parish Courthouse.

Every single person involved with that should serve time. Thats absolutely sickening.
Very much this. The worst part of this though is it's not surprising in the least. I could see something like this happening in any number of smalls towns up here in Alabama, including the one where I live.

It's unfortunate he isn't black. This story would be national news.
I didn't watch the video. I kind of thought he was based on the article and his arrest record. You are completely right though, this would be a Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton powder keg event. I don't like the ACLU but he needs to give them a shout.

And why is recording the police a bad thing again? We should just bow to all the college dropouts and let them take advantage of people?
That's the educated opinion right?
ETA: Am I the only one that also thinks the fact that this guy could have gotten substantial jail time for slamming an envelop in a guy's chest is fricking ridiculous as well even if it was true?
