How does this go down?
Please tell me that stinging multiple numbing shots isn't needed once more.

Depends on the type.
Post a pic and we can tell you. You may be able to remove them yourself with cosmetic scissors.

I had ankle surgery and they clipped mine with nail clippers to pull out the strands. Felt strange/slightly uncomfortable. Maybe a little stinging, but as long as you aren't a vagina you should be fine

just grab them with needle nose pliers and pull really hard.

They cut them out or you can do it yourself at the recommended time. It's painless.

It certainly feels weird, but it's something you can absolutely do yourself..
Scissors + tweezers + rubbing alcohol + high ball of scotch = you got this.

They aren't needed at all. Just snip the stitch and pull it out. Move to the next one. Snip. Pull. Repeat. Oh yeah... pull on the end with the knot, if you pull on the other end, you'll try to pull the knot through, and, well, that won't work out well for you.

Pop two vicodin and cut them out.
(vicodin will not be necessary but hey, why not)

I had the kind that go away on their own. I found a piece stuck in my skin causing a bunch of irritation like four months after the surgery.
