The last two water parks I visited seemingly catered to people of the low socio-economic variety.

Is Schlitterbahn like that?

I made the mistake of going there a couple of years ago and it was full of gangs and trash.

I used to work in New Braunfels. The entire area is worth the trip. ALL water parks have lots of trash. If you want to avoid it go to Atlantis.

We go right when both parks open but during the week. We take the kids out of school one or two days. This is the only way to avoid the trash that has started to take over schlitterbahn. It's getting pretty bad now. I mean if your thing is watching messican teenagers and adults have sex in the pool by all means go ahead.

Schlitterbahn is consistently rated as the best waterpark in the world... puts blue bayou to shame.

Aight, I'll help you out. Grown man here who went to schlotterbahn a year ago with no chirren. Schlotterbahn has a couple good big slides, a lot if weak small slides, and a bunch of awesome tubing. It's on a river and some of the tubing rides go through the river which is pretty dope. But the lines are bad, some over 1 hour for the big rides. It was largely unchanged from when I went there as a 10 year old.

Blue bayou doesn't have a very good atmosphere but the slides are better, especially the mad moccasin. Also the lines are shorter.

So long story short, go to schlotterbahn for the tubing rides, go to blue bayou for the mad moccasin and better slides with shorter lines

Also my phone autocorrects to schlotterbahn

Schlitterbahn is pretty awesome. Go on a day when they won't be as crowded though or you won't have as good of a time

The part of it that uses filtered water is fine, the rest of the water smells like stinky behind.

No, I went three or four years ago, and it is nothing like blue bayou.

Schlitterbahn has consistently been one of the top-rated water parks in the world for over 20 years. Blue Bayou, not so much.

If you don't want to meet people of the low socio-economic variety, go to the opera.

That is like asking if Paris is a better food city than Des Moines.

Stayed at the treehaus villas the weekend of the LSU v Iowa game. Me,wife, three daughters, son, son in law and two grandkids. We all had a blast.

All water parks are one big toilet.
