Yeah if we are counting TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS. Manning is only the best statistical qb thats ever lived. He'll be fine.

It is beyond dispute now.

Let's compare post season performance.

Manning = choke
Brady = clutch

If post season is the most important judge of success (which I think it is) than clearly Brady > Manning.

I am assuming everyone thinks Bill Russell is unequivocally the best center of all-time. Clearly, a choker like Wilt could not even be considered as the best center.

Manning's name does not deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Brady's.

Brady won SBs with completely different players on his teams.

fricking a

He didn't do anything that an average....yes in know what I'm saying here...an average QB in the league wouldn't do. fricking a he was G Mac for the pats. Nothing more nothing less.

do we go by stats or by championships?

I fricking give up already.

Manning won a SB over Rex Grossman and then got picked off by a 2nd year corner to the house in the next one.

Brady lost to Eli Manning head-to-head twice in a SB?

what does it all mean?

probably jack shite.

In their primes when they were playing the best football of their respective lives. And there would have been a draft. Manning would be picked before Brady 8/10 times.

Team accomplishments mean NOTHING when it comes to two individual players.

Manning: 2nd all time passing yards (soon to be 1st)
Brady: 5th all time passing yards (16,000 yards less than Manning)

Manning: 2nd all time passes completed
Brady: 5th all time passes completed

Manning: 2nd all time passes attempted
Brady: 6th all time passes attempted

Manning: 1st all time touchdown completion
Brady: 5th all time touchdown completion

Manning: 3rd all time passer rating
Brady: 5th all time passer rating

The list goes on and on. Yes, Tom has rings. But that DOES NOT make him the better quarterback than Peyton Manning.

Indeed.

Brady vs Montana is the tough question. I think I still gotta go with Joe as the GOAT.

I am a fan of both, especially Manning since he is a louisiana guy. My guess is Peyton will look back on his personal accomplishments with satisfaction, and Brady will look at his super bowl rings and super bowl MVP trophies with a similar affection.

History will laud both but will put more value on the latter.
