Sometimes when I feel like walking on the wild side, I switch my route to work. This blows my hair back.

Once yelled and cussed out my boss and got fired and the next day I came back like nothing happened to the weekly meeting.
Wore a toupee for a while.
Tried to drug my bosses drink.
I don't know whats more terrifying, #2 or #3.

Ever faked a handicap for the better office bathroom?

My work computer once didn't have enough RAM in it. I purchased and added more on my on. Pretty edgy stuff, if you ask me. Until I got 30 days probation for it.

I'm with you
Only thing that really made me nervous was walking into CEO's office and telling I needed my salary doubled and a Director's position or I was walking.
I was kind of hoping he'd force my hand........I got the raise.
I'm still miserable and not in 100% control of my future.
I am so ready to strike out on my own

Quit your job? Yes, a few times for better opportunities.
Changed careers? Yes. Started in construction, then followed my hobby modifying vehicles and high performance work on cars, auto repair. Did that a few years, managed a few shops... Then decided to take control of my destiny. Went back to school at night for Project Management and got back into construction. Smartest move I ever made....
Killed a man? ....
Asked someone to marry you? Yes
Moved away? More than once. Once for school then moved back. Then again for my career and I still live in Houston.
Turned down a job for a girl? No, that's dumb...
Turned down a girl for a job? I would in a heartbeat.....

Nice, looks like shite worked out for you.

I'm fine with that.
Used to scare me. Now, not as much. To some extent it is losing a sense of adventure, but to some extent it is prioritization. I still have some pretty big things to tackle that are not as ambitious as they were when I was 22, but would still make for quite a life.

One easy change is to NOT LIVE IN THE STUPID SUBURBS.
If you live in a major city the social, career, fitness, cultural and volunteerism opportunities are quite literally endless, and are steps from your door.
When you live in the suburbs you wind up watching reality television and eating shitty food and hating your wife (and your life IMO). My forced year of exile in the suburbs was the most miserable time of my life, but I value it for hammering home that I should never make that mistake again.

there are costs and sometimes they weigh on me more than others.
i think it's just make your life is what is important to you. there is no right way or wrong way. for some people, the most important thing is feeling stable, building a foundational home, and planting deep roots somewhere. there is nothing wrong with this. we're hardwired for this.
for me, it's been about moving towards the things that i am most passionate about- creating things and having experiences that i'll treasure.
it sounds like you're not wanting stability in your life right now. so go find an adventure or passion that seems worthwhile and chase it until you feel like you've chased enough.
but i regret little. and i'm lucky, i get to see what my life could've been everytime i go back home to louisiana. and i can still have it.

It's not all rosy. I have to work much harder to find people who have my political leanings, sense of humor, interests, etc. Thankfully, there are a lot of people in major cities.

Left my decent office job to start my own company in a completely different industry I knew very little about. It's been terrifying but I'm glad I've done it.

I'm assuming from this anecdote and from your avatar that you're a libertarian/conservative with great taste in art, film, etc. I'd say that even if there is a smaller percentage of people with your political leanings, when you do find them you'll have that much stronger of a connection and bond.
