quote:

do people anywhere think the suburbs are good for anything other than raising and affording a family? isn't that the whole reason they started?

has any one ever said, "man. i just can't wait to grow up and live in the burbs?" come on man. let's not get defensive. the burbs are what they are. a safe, place to have stability for your family.

Well, it depends. There are some suburbs (HSTN suburbs and the like) that are fricking hell holes. Big gigantic cookie cutter houses with no yards.

I enjoy the suburbs outside of San Antonio and even in the northeast because the houses have some character and you can get some space between your neighbor and you. I like having a big yard to do things in and having space for my kids to play. I like not having to worry about the shitheads and scum that reside in the city at times.

I do like to visit cities and the like for business trips, but I just would feel cooped up like an animal in a cage with all the people and no space. I like having 3000 sq ft. I like having over an acre.

I don't like cookie cutter homes and having no yard.

Perhaps you would like to meet for a drink to discuss these matters or better yet, a hunt in the Ms swamp. Of course that would require you to leave your Mom's house and get out from behind the keyboard. I ain't hard to find in Ms. and I can travel too.

Despite all the naysayers in my family and highschool, I decided to attend the university.
