Ford Edge. Not really a Ford person, but I really like my wife's Edge.

My wife has a Santa Fe (not the sport the bigger one)
Its a real nice vehicle, fully loaded it was a little over $30,000. The only thing I dont like about it is I like to rest my arm on the window seal and its kind of thin for that. Otherwise theres really not much that I dont like about it.

Hmm...
Need to think on this one a bit.
Not the Honda(s), the Nissan, or the Highlander.
The Explorer is the best bet if you can do one for 30.
I like the JK, but I don't know your application.
4 door Tacoma?

I was in this situation 6 months ago. Ended up getting a 2014 Grand Cherokee for 30k brand new.
My top two choices were Ford Explorer or Grand Cherokee and went with the Jeep. If you look hard enough you can find both of these brand new (base model) for 30k.
