Our new DC is still coaching.........

The speculation has been all over the board s to who the real candidates are and who has interviewed. Supposedly no one has been offered. This tells me that this could be someone still coaching. No one on Oregon or Ohio State makes any sense so I am ruling them out. Then I went to the NFL, and only found one candidate and it is a strong one. This guy has NFL and college experience. He is regard as a very strong recruiter, especially in the SEC landscape. He also has 11 years of SEC coaching experience.

He did a great job as DC of the Saints in 2000. I would rather Zook than Brick Haley.

My speculation on this is that the coach LSU will hire is still coaching other wise why haven't they made a hire? Who was the DC for the first Saints playoff win? Ron Zook. 22 of 24 starters on Urban Meyer's 2006 National Championship team were recruited by Ron Zook.

He can recruit and I seem to remember him being a good DC

Could be and it would be OK but the ops thought that its set in truth is wrong. Less has a timeline and is doing interviews so therefore he isn't set on any one candidate. Only way anyone is "ahead or locked in" is if it's Haley and the interviews are for show or due dilligence

Great build up. I laughed. But, you may be right. I sure as hell have no clue.

Found this line in that link:
We wouldn't miss a beat from Chavis.

Who knows, but it makes as much sense as anything else.

Good enough for Jim Haslett, good enough for me.
Speaking of Haslett, he's very much available.
