This is opinion based on what I'm reading and hearing. No source required here... Les likes to make statements. He's going to do this one fast. Hiring Orgeron is no brainer.

Clancy as DC - Coach O on the D in a combo of responsibilities would be the best possible solution

if we're going to gamble, i'm willing to gamble on yaw yaw

he's coached under some defensive legends like carroll and kiffin. he's always coached in a 4-3, which fits our personnel

he's coached in cover 2 and cover 3 systems. we have enough leftover from our man-based system to provide a support staff

I like how the OP dismisses Chavis then goes on to talk about how great Orgeron is and who he coached under. The most glaring difference is one has been the trigger man for years while the other has never had full responsibility of the D.

How does that work? Sark would have retained him but wanted his man instead?

Chief is a class guy and felt disrespected in the contract process because he saw Alleva matching Miles offers from other U's but for some reason they decided to keep Chief at 1.3mm. Chief was right to feel that way

Chief wanted a $400K raise after the year we had? And last? frick that, I'm with the Administration on this one.

Thanks for the time served but, good riddance Chief.
