Oh, I have concerns and I hope he improves as well. There was not a whole lot to be excited about with regards to how the QB position performed but at the same time I have seen QB's turn from bad to gets the job done. The thing is Cam knows more about QB development than everyone on this board combined, if anyone can get improvement from the position; its him. And not wanting to shite on players doesn't equal no concern, but some people can't help themselves I guess.

you cant judge anything based on what he did prior to the A&M game. No QB would look worth a crap in that offense.

Diarse is known as a pretty good leader and it seems like he is a good teammate.
But let's be realistic--he would welcome a more effective, consistent, QB, whose passes are on target and who can find his 2nd and 3rd receivers. But he won't say that either in social media or in interviews with print and broadcast media.

These arguments are going to flare up during the offseason. We will see if he is improving against ND. We will see the disparity between the 2 QB's in the Spring game and we will see what the Week 1 starter can bring to the table. Despite what anyone is saying, we will all be in Purple come Week 1 regardless of who is under center. We all have a guy who we think is better for the team and none of us have any say in if he gets the snaps. Last season is over and I don't think we will see the worst QB in college football in 2015. Either Harris is made ready or AJ improves however much his limitations allow him to. He is a very hard worker and I don't think it's possible he can't improve a little.

You mean the same offense that produced a 3000 yd passer, two 1000 yd receivers, a 1000+ yd rusher???
And to answer your predictable response of "it is not the same offense"; I know it is not the same. Smart OC's adjust calls, formations, scheme's, etc. to what the personal can do best or what they hope will work. Not because he didn't like the results from last year.

Of course not because a bunch of athletically challenged imbeciles that post here always know more than the people actually performing for the LSU team. Amirite?
And DJ Welter was CLEARLY "the most improved player" this offseason, AMIRITE?
Sometimes even players and coaches sunshine pump, for no reason other than to show support. Welcome to sports, I guess you're new here.

i would like to see the question asked that prompted this response...otherwise, it's out of context and means absolutely nothing

As much as you miserable fricks want to bitch about his lack of production, you sure are quick to trivialize the productive rushing offense he provided.
he ran for 117 and threw for 107, against the worst defense in the conference...and I am supposed to be excited about that?
quote:
You wouldn't have been happy had he completed three more of the passes that he threw night and finished 15 for 21 for about 150yds...because then he wouldn't have completed 20 passes for over 250yds.
lol you sure are fired up for a tuesday. I picked 13 because that is the highest number of completions he had all year. and the thought of jennings going 15/21 is laughable because in no game did he even come close to hitting 60% of his passes, much less 70.
you seem upset. are you Anthony's father? You have raised a fine young man and should be very proud.

Clearly you missed the point. Which is, people like yourself are constantly moving the goalposts for the players and coaches when it comes to what YOU deem successful. You still wouldn't have been happy and would have come here to shite on a player even if he had those "laughable" stats.
The game plan fit Jennings' skill set much better than previous plans, so he had his best game of the year. Was it great? No. Is there room for improvement? Yes. Do I want better production from the quaterback position? Of course. I think the big, and possibly only, complaint to come from that game would be: why did the coaches not run a similar offense the entire season?

Brilliant comeback.

because literally every conference game we played a defense that was better than aTm?

You don't bite the hand that (occasionally) feeds you. Nothing new here, move on.

When was the last time Diarse saw a pass in his zip code from AJ? And I realize I shouldn't use zip and pass and AJ in the same sentence
Ahh.......how about the last game against TAMU? He threw him several strikes!

Ummmm what championships do you win in recruiting and practice. It's production on the field. I know AJ doesn't produce on the field. I know Harris has shown more upside this season but he doesn't get real opportunities especially as the season wore on.
I went to the Spring Game and saw them play vs and I saw Harris look way better. I listen to Coach Miles say how tough the competition is and how well Jennings "prepares" and practices. So based on that info I can believe that AJ has everything but the ability to put it on the field, however Les will stick with him because of his work ethic which is somewhat of a disservice because in the real world results like that lead to termination.

Right. It's meaningless.

That was approved script or Diarse is delusional. Take your pick.

Up vote. Wish I could give you more. Miles just does not understand offense.

I get that this is your opinion and that's fine...
But it's hilarious to me how all of you make it sound just so simple....just once, I'd like to see some of you guys that think you know every single thing about the ins and outs of offenses and who should do what and who should run what....go into the football program for a week.....
There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that all of you would be completely lost within the first hour.
