In the next prieview it is mentioned "we are 100 miles away", in what seems to be reference to a safe place. Not too familiar with the way to Richmond va, or Washington Dc from Atlanta, I know Richmond is closer and I believe they would take the same route. Which could tie in Morgan if he chooses to follow the map.

I think they are doing to go with Noah to his home. They literally have no other plans and as kirkman hinted they will move. Noah was introduced now for that reason it seems.

Plus, Noah talked about an establishment in Richmond, VA.

My first question to him would be then why leave Richmond?

What was it that Gabriel wanted to get out of the Church to go find out? I didnt understand that part. Did he intend on leaving the Church for good and only came back to escape the walkers?

He and his dad left (I think to search for other family) and then the hospital crew took Noah and left his dad behind.

I've driven to Richmond through Atlanta. Its all interstate if I remember correctly but its several hundred miles. I believe it took us 8-9 hours. We didn't go to Washington but I think I remember signs saying it was like 100 miles away. So my guess is they make it to Richmond for Noah and find nothing and decide to continue on to Washington.

Eugene was convinced that DC was the best place to hold up. That there would probably be some walls of some sort or protection. I still this this is the case. He made up the cure part for people to protect him because he felt he couldn't protect himself. My guess is that Eugene still believes that DC is the best place to be. I think he'll still try to convince them of that and they will continue to try to get there.

Yeah, Eugene said as much IIRC. He said that while he was full of shite, he still believes that DC is the place to be (I go to St. John's University? ).

I wasn't clear on that either. Seemed to me like he was trying to legit escape, but then came across the school and then the walkers and was like "Yeah frick this" and retreated back to the church. Only thing I didn't get was why he didn't just crawl back under the church and get back into the rectory instead of trying to break into the front entrance.

Also, I wasn't sure why Carl and Michonne were shocked to see that the one hastily nailed thin piece of wood didn't hold back ten+ walkers trying to get out of the church. They looked so shocked when that happened.

I think that was addressed in the dialogue that dawn was the only one that could bring herself to kill the previous leader, as they all knew each other before the ZA.

That's fine, but from the sounds of it most of these guys had become pretty terrible people. I don't think they would have batted an eye to kill her for power. I thought there was going to be some big reveal that she was actually a merciless bitch they were all afraid to cross. Nope.

Would have been aggravated with him bringing that back with him. Was also kinda cheesy that driving up Abraham knew what was going on and without asking questions fixes the problem. Was like grandpa at the end of the lost boys.

Yeah I think his plan was actually to leave. Then he realized he couldnt survive outside the church without protection.

I think he was only planning to leave if they were lying. As he told Michonne, "I'm sorry, I just had to know." I think Michonne understood completely, and that's why they weren't that pissed at him.

Did I miss in this first half who it was with Daryl that came out of the woods? I'm drawing a blank.

I don't think they ever showed it, but it was obviously Noah.

ETA: He was there when they were boarding up the church prior to going into ATL and opting for the hostage exchange option.

to me it wasn't about Beth's death, but the reaction of the group...that scene genuinely made me feel sad.

They acted their emotions very well

Maggie was so excited to be seeing her sister again, but then the change on her face when she saw her being carried out was great acting.

It just makes so much more sense than, Rick leads his group into a situation in a closed hallway where they are outnumbered and in the hands of Dawn.
A tactically very lame "fail" position to take. He had the initiative, he had the advantage, he gave it all away to agree to meet inside. Outside was his, inside wasn't. Rick is smarter than that, so I wondered about the writers intention on this one, except there was going to be somebody whacked. I was shocked by who and how it went down. I'm going to miss her.

I think they will head for Noah's hometown. He said it had walls and was secure. Was it in Virginia?

I think he was counting on what Noah said, the 12 on 3 scenario if ANY shite hit the fan.

His inital throat slitting plan was the way to go IMO. Maybe even fake an injury ahead of time to get a man on the inside.

not sure what the more badass rick moment was from this season...

The machete to Garreth or running down that cop and then capping him.
