like most small towns, it will basically be what you make of it...

avoid the temptation to talk shite about how crappy the place is compared to other places that you have lived...it will alienate you from the locals quickly...

sounds to me like it may be time for you to step out of the college-boy mode and find some adult hobbies/activities to keep yourself busy with...

Years ago worked in Lufkin. Two of my co-workers went clubbing in Nacogdoches. One friend was trying to get the other laid for his birthday. They both ended up with the clap.

So you're single, under thirty, making bank in a small college town and can't figure out what to do?

I second what a poster said earlier with off-roading. I worked there for 2 years and bought a 4x4 met great people had a lot of fun. Great terrain there and trails all over Texas to try on weekends. Was the best thing I did there and I miss it.

Fiancé went there for two years and was in a sorority before transferring to LSU. She liked it for the first year and a half pretty much she said, but got tired of there not being much to do after a while.

The one time I went to Nac with her to see her old friends there we went to a bar that had a swimming pool, don't recall the name though, and then to Bonita creek and saw Pat Green. Bonita creek was pretty cool and I remember looking at their concert schedule and was impressed with who all they had coming, that is if you're into Texas country at all though.

Toledo bend and Rayburn aren't far from there either so you got plenty of fishing.

No Meat Pies?

Wrong NatchezTooches?

Sorry I do see TX now.

I almost crash landed a Beechcraft Baron there one morning going to some injection molding outfit.

The Northwestern State Demons play the SFA Lumberjacks today at 2 for the Battle of Chief Caddo, the largest trophy in college sports. Good rivalry game.

Must be a really crappy town if the guy in Lucinda Williams' song was born there, but used to tell everybody he was from Lake Charles.

Clint Dempsey is from there. East Texas girls are known for their easiness. Other than that, go to Dallas if you want to have fun.
