Saw a car with a decal saying don't bank with whitney/hancock bc of the no gun zone policy.

Personally i think its pretty reasonable to want to avoid the whole people coming in with weapons policy.

I thought that applied to all banks, bars and federal buildings.

Yes. What does that no gun policy prevent, besides me protecting myself when I happen to be in there during a robbery?

I'd be for gun fee zones in many places if they worked.

Nope, I don't mind if they have a no ski mask policy either.

Ever seen a bank robber read the sign at the door, turn around & take his gun back out to the car? Yeah, me neither.

I don't really have a problem with any place of business having a no gun policy. Private business, do what they want.

No - I like banks having a no gun policy. I was in a teller line in WM on Thomas road when the old bank one was robbed.

I did not know anything was wrong until after the robber left the bank. I saw a girl running from behind the teller line and lock the south door. The the wmpd showed up. I had to stay in the lobby for nearly 2 hours after.

The only person that knew a gun had been pulled was the teller. If I had known it was going down and if I had my sig, I probably would not have reacted properly unless I was in direct threat.

But - the gun probably would make me think before reacting. Back when I was country strong, I would just whipped that arse. My sig makes me think before doing something stupid.

I would say no, the only reason to fight back against bank robbers would be in a hostage/life or death situation. Otherwise take cover and let them try to rob the bank.

Some idiot with a CC license would prolly start blasting away in a crowded bank and hurt someone more often than preventing harm

No, it's their bank

However if someone is going to rob them, they're bringing a gun

If someone flips their shite getting rejected, so much so they'd pull their gun and shoot people...they're coming back...with a gun

So I really don't see the point

I actually don't have a problem with any facility that is open to the public having a no-gun policy...

while I have no problem with concealed carry, I say if someone owns a business and they don't want to allow concealed carry on the premisis, then there should be no concealed carry on the premesis...

I don't think anyone advocates guns at banks. The security is generally uniformed, if they have any, and the guys with the guns are the criminals. Tellers are instructed to give the money over and let the surveillance solve the crime. No need for bullets flying in banks. Too many bank tellers would be killed if there were "good guys with guns" at banks.

The people who carry legally are not the people you have to worry about.

FYI - Ever notice how many crimes are committed in "no gun zones"?

I guess criminals don't care about that stuff, eh.

For the record, I won't bank with anyone who has a no gun policy.
