Curtis does not have the following to get to 44k. You would have to bet on a shite ton of people showing up to make up for that. Isn't this game on a Thursday?

So you dont like Rummel either?

Since the Rummel/Catholic game, neither team has lost but Rummel has played much better against much better opponents.

Dutchtown played Catholic and Rummel two weeks apart. Watched both on TV.

Rummel destroyed Dutchtown 37-6. Completely dominated them.

Catholic beat Duthtown 20-17. Dutchtown dominated time of possession and played them dead even. Dutchtown missed a FG on the final play to take it to OT.

Both games were at Dutchtown n

One thing about Rummel, they went on the road in predistrict and played some pretty good teams. They are battle tested.

Acadiana used the starting linebacker at qb their last game. He's the third string qb. Acadiana's theme this year has been turnovers and injuries. Pretty crazy really to see such a promising season for those guys turn south. I really wouldn't be surprised to see them lose in the first round, and I wouldn't be surprised if they won it all. It depends on which team shows up.

Ok, I raise you this. Catholic beat Mandeville 48-0 at Mandy. Curtis struggled to beat them 14-0

Expect Barbe to be a title contender in 2015 and 2016. Its just not happening this year. Too inexperienced.

Damn, you Catholic fanboys need to chill. If you look at how Catholic has played since the Rummel game and how Rummel has played, there is no comparison. You act like I said you were garbage. Sure, they could beat Curtis. That's almost a toss-up in my book, and Catholic could win is they play to their potential. I don't think they'd beat Rummel in the Dome. Jay Roth has a history of winning big games in the postseason and Catholic does not.

I know that Catholic can beat Curtis this year, but as you said, are they going to perform when the bright lights are on?

Up until 2 years ago, Roth and Weiner were perennial Semi-final losers. All my Rummel friends bitched at how Roth would always choke and never get it done just like Catholic does about Dale

Should have lost to Byrd last year, but the refs gave Rummel a pass.

Rummel amazingly came out of their shell when the field was watered down. Coincidence?

Rummel has always had good teams in the past, but the early 2000's were not kind to them as I'm sure some of the other Rummel posters here can tell you. They lost in the Semis to a Hank Tierney Shaw team on a roll, they ran into those juggernaut Evangel teams 3 times in the playoffs and lost, and they made it to the Dome in 2009 and lost to a very good WM team.

They finally won a legitimate 5A title in 2012. They've always been there, but I certainly don't think they've been "in a shell".

I agree with all of this. I was just responding to the poster who said Roth has a "history of winning big games in the postseason while Catholic doesnt." That is simply false. Until the last two years Catholic and Rummel were identical. Make it to the Semi-finals and lose to either Evangel or a big public school. Like clockwork
