Football probably has the most unhealthy people. They have some people with some serious amounts of fats and rolls. Those people are also usually pretty surprisingly fast and quick all things being considered though.

I think maybe baseball overall.

Why not include punter/kicker?

Just because the kickers/punters don't need to bench press 500 lbs doesn't mean they aren't athletic.

Who is more athletic?

Anderson Verajao/Omer Asik

or

CC Sabathia

Id probably say CC

Easily Verajao. I hate the guy, but the dude has a serious motor. CC doesn't even know how to run.

Dear God - have you ever watched a NBA game?

These debates on this board always turn to shite tho - everyone has a different opinion of what an "athlete" specifically is.

Baseball is my favorite sport but guys like Big Papi are not very athletic and don't necessarily need to be.

My thoughts on this.

Centers in basketball arent necessarily doing anything extremely athletic. They dunk and do lay ups and rebound. But they(for the most part) dont catch well and cant jump very high.

Big Papi's fast twitch muscles and reflexes are in the 99.99999999 percentile in the world

Most Centers are in that percentile in height alone.

This. Do we really think Terrance Cody and guys like that are more athletic then Big Papi and CC?

Very true. Everyone values speed, strength, coordination, and even gamesmanship differently.

If you are talking about raw athleticism, obviously baseball or hockey. They have the most white people who succeed. That isn't coincidence. Maybe in hockey, its a lack of interest. But I promise you baseball isn't selecting all the elite white athletes away from football and basketball.

The NBA. You ever see someone from the NBA try to throw a ball?

Thats fricking stupid. Kickers and Punters perform outside of the concept of football and account like 1% of the game. Pitchers are the single most important position in sports.

This.

Before you can answer the question of who is least athletic you have to lay down what we are judging athleticism on. Physical fitness? Jumping ability? Fast twitch muscles? etc...

I would say Hockey's worst athlete is actually the best. We are talking about only the worst in each sport

And I'm sure a good amount of the kickers/punters are in pretty good shape. At the very least, they are incredibly flexible and have strong legs. They have to have very flexible hamstrings and strong cores to do their jobs, I imagine.

Unless you're Sebastian Janikowski, then you're just a drunk freak.

pitcher as a whole is yes the most important position but a SP will pitch what every 4th or 5th game and then sit in the bullpen for the rest of the time
