While that guy may not be a beast athlete I am fairly certain he could destroy Terrance Cody in most athletic ventures

Hockey doesnt truly have one. The goalies are athletic as shite and have played all the positions. I doubt think they have a position you could say is more unathletic then the others

I agree completely. Same with Soccer.

Another way to look at is, in which sport is stature a feature and not a prerequisite. Being huge is a prerequisite to be an olinemen. Being super tall will basically get you into the NBA haha.

I'd argue that lots of pitchers in baseball probably were the best athletes in high school.

NFL DT are probably the least overall athletic people of those sports IMO

Eh, given the parameters set forth by the OP, soccer may be in the clear. I'm sure even the least athletic person in major club soccer is more athletic than the least athletic football, basketball, or baseball player.

You seem obsessed with Terrence Cody. I guarantee you that Cody has a higher stamina than a good number of baseball players and is probably much stronger.

This is my answer as well. If you took the 5 worst athletes in any sport, and then made them compete in every sport known to man against each other, I think the 5 nfl players come out last. I think from best to worst would go 1.Hockey 2.Soccer 3.Baseball 4.Basketball 5. Football

soccer is definitely in the clear and it's the only sport mentioned that I have never played.

It's definitely got to be (from most athletic to least):

1. Soccer
2. Basketball
3. Hockey
4. Football
5. Beisbol

I love baseball but it wasn't called a "pastime" for over 100 years for no reason. Even the most athletic player in the field (CF, SS) is literally standing still for 95% of the "game".

Not to mention the range of motion needed to kick the ball without hurting yourself.

So you think the least athletic person in basketball is better then Hockey?

Well, the OP did ask SPECIFICALLY

quote:

1)Not the average athleticism of the players involved. Which sport has the most unathletic individuals?

So, singling out specific players is helpful, even required.

People need to understand this isnt an indictment on a sport. Just trying to find the least athletic position in professional sports.

Exactly. Im not saying basketball is less athletic then Hockey players overall, but the NBAs worse athlete is 10x worse then the NHLs. I personally think the least athletic person in the NHL would be the best athlete here

Well....football is the only one of those that you can wait until you are in HS to start playing and still end up getting a college scholarship if you are fast and/or big. You wait until HS to start playing baseball, hockey, or basketball and you can forget about it no matter how fast you run or how much you squat/deadlift. You probably won't even make the HS team.

Lsu picked a tuba player out the freaking band and he became a starter on our basketball team. But this is why basketball and football are the last two. There are positions where people can be potentially plucked from obscurity and play at a high level. This is simply impossible for hockey, soccer, and baseball
