1. Cubs fan here

2. They're like the Piccadilly of baseball for all the old people that root for them.

3. McGwire and Sosa

Because of the amazing graciousness and humility of the players and fans in the wake of 10-12-2012.

For 8 innings, it was pretty nice. Although there was this creeping sense of fear building from the middle innings on.

Branson has more theatre seats than Vegas. A top family destination. No longer a destination for old people...the World War II generation has nearly died off.

Table Rock Lake is one of the best lakes in America...period.

Silver Dollar City (for all the good and the bad) is a great amusement park. Two words: Outlaw Run - Voted Best Rollercoaster in the World last year.

That's the series they got a lot of flack for shutting down Strasburg, right?

Yes. That's one of those decisions that seemed to split absolutely based on how close to/emotionally invested in the team you were. The local baseball media and the Nats' fans were overwhelmingly in support of that decision. The National media (and apparently a lot of "baseball guys") were absolutely appalled and some hold it against the franchise to this day.

Personally, I doubt he would have made any difference at all. Those who held up Medlen's handling by the Braves as an example of a better approach are more muted in their criticism now; [knock on wood] both Stras and J Zimm have continued their progress/recovery from their surgeries and gotten stronger year by year following the Nats' protocol.

I fear that it's a debate that will never go away until/unless the Nats win rings. Obviously, I'm hoping it is a ghost we can bury within the next month, but lots of formidable foes (most with more crunch time experience) stand in the way.

Even their stars are boring as dog shite. Holiday and Molina aren't fun to watch bat.
