Anthony Jenning's Last 3 Outings. Think about it.

1. Day after Thanksgiving, national TV, trailing Arkansas late in the 4th qtr and the 5th yr Sr QB goes down and Jennings, a true freshman, comes in and leads LSU on a 99 yard drive to win the game at the very end.
2. Bowl game on New Year's Day against Iowa, an opponent from the Big Ten. He does not have his best performance, but you can see him forcing things and getting amped up. It is his first start and he is trying to do everything right. Again, True Freshman.
3. Kick-off game against #14 Wisconsin at a neutral site at 8pm on national television. Bowl like atmosphere. Slow start and the coaches have him handcuffed. NO ONE for LSU plays well. But, he makes plays. The 80 yard pass to Dural has been overlooked because it was the only good play in the half, but watch it again. Jennings is amazing on that play. Then, LSU gets down 24-7 and Jennings leads them back to a 28-24 win and passes for almost 250 yards and 2 TDs.
2 starts in bowl or bowl like situations, and he is 2-0 as a starter.
2 come from behind victories in the clutch. In both situations, he took over the team and made great decisions. The secondary respects his ability to run and both passes to Dural in the Arkansas and the Wisconsin game happened because the DB pulled up on the route.
This kid is clutch, guys. He might not have the strongest arm, but he seems to have intangibles of leadership and decision making that are huge. I am impressed.
EDIT: One other thing - he has yet to play in back to back weeks. Last game against Arkansas - 5 weeks - bowl game - 8 months - first game.
Jennings seems to get better the more he is allowed to play. What will he be like in a few weeks after getting more actual reps? His performance in the second half against Wisconsin was world's better than his game against Iowa.

Thanks for putting his performance in perspective. When you view it from that angle he seems to have a lot going for him.

He can drop a bomb in a bucket. Some of his passes were scary accurate.

Haters mad he has the best winning percentage in LSU QB history

3 bad screen passes and a few drops complete and we are talking about a potential player of the week.

The forced screen passes are a product of him being hyped up, I think. The game will slow down for him. Look at the touch he has on the deep ball. Look at that pass to Dural that went 80 yds. Beautiful.
I think he will be a good QB.

I believe Jennings to be 3-0 and soon to be 6-0 headed into State.
Quite the accomplishment.
Harris may RS. Looked to me like he got a little nicked up there on the sack play, WINK.

I'm excited to see what Jennings can do with more reps and game experience.
Miles and Cameron deserve credit for starting the right guy.

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned more. We all know what kind of gun Mett has and Mett was never this accurate deep. Some guys can drop it into a bucket and some guys can't. We need to pay attention to what this kid does well because there's plenty of it. He also doesn't seem to get rattled. Things weren't going well for a while but he made a few big time throws when we needed it. I feel way better about the receivers also. Diarse and Dural are obviously better than I imagined but everyone looked capable.

Very big stage for a True Freshman and now a 1st game Sophomore with his second start to step onto.
Jennings really excelled in the 2nd half Saturday. I am really looking forward to seeing how he will play against two lesser opponents at home over the next two weeks leading up to the Miss. St. game.

I hope he eventually gets to run the same offense that Mett ran. You can see that while he does have some mobility, he's got a golden arm.

I like the shite out of Jennings and BH is def not ready yet. Look on the play right bf he hit Dural for 20 something yards he looks to the side line and looked like he told the coaches to let him throw it and they did and he responded. Also the pass where both TEs effed up the play he was dead on accurate. Needs to work on the screen more though. Other then that he played great but the coaches have to show more confidence in him and call more play action on early downs. Most of his passes were passing situations also! I also liked LF he will be what everyone is saying just not right this second.

I agree. It looked like he was throwing low bullets out of panic from the rush instead of floating it. He will fix that as he calms down.

2-0 in bowl like games capped off with the 99yd come back against Arkansas is pretty cool to think about.

I think AJ will be fine. Once the game slows down a little he will be fine. We need to stop play-action on third and 10 though. Just let him drop back and go through his progressions without the play-action to deal with. We are not fooling the defense on third and 10 with a run.
I'm also encouraged about our offense.

Nope. Not the plan and he can't know unless he received a season ending injury and got medical.
