Lines that bother you

When Betty is mad at Don because he forgets to pick up Sally, she yells, "Where are you?" on the phone. It's a land line. No such thing as cell phones. And even if this were a situation where someone said a figure of speech that did not completely apply, nobody would ever have a reason to say "where are you" until cell phones were invented.
That said, I still love the show.

Depends on who initiated the call. If Betty, then yes you are correct, but if Don...

Two in Man of Steel. They're both said by Lois Lane.
"So if we're done measuring dicks, can you have your people show me what you found?"
"What if I have to tinkle?"
Damn you David Goyer.

I can do better, but the first one that comes to mind is in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. They're walking out to Quidditch practice down a breezeway with solid stone to their right. Wood, while looking off to his left says "What? I can't believe it". Then they turn right and confront the Slytherin team and have an argument over who has the pitch for practice.
The second one that comes to mind is "you're the rocket man" - Nick Cage, The Rock.

Star Wars - The Clone Wars season 1 every single episode: "I've got a bad feeling about this."

"I will come for you." Dennis Quaid in The Day After Tomorrow
I love this movie but it has some cringe worthy dialogue

quote:I don't know what show you're talking about, so maybe I'm off base. Before cell phones, people might use the phrase "Where are you?" to mean, "What's taking so long for you to get here!"

Possibly the worst movie line ever delivered:
"Do you know what happens to a toad when it gets struck by lightning? The same thing that happens to everything else!"

This is more of a complaint about the entire scene, but in Four Brothers, when they are all on the ice, the bad guy says something about their mom and the camera jumps to one of them saying, "You watch your mouth!"
Then it cuts back to a view of the group and that same guy is standing there calmly as if he didn't just get angry or say anything.
Just shitty filming that annoys the crap out of me.

Fun fact: This line was written and added into the script by Joss Whedon.

For Your Eyes Only, when Bond is about to dump Blofeld down a smokestack.
"I'll buy a delicatassen, in stainless steel!"

"I. Don't Want. Yor Liife."
The entire train of words between Kilmer and Moxon that culminates in "All you care about is your next district title."
Hell, half the dialogue in Varsity Blues could be listed here.

Mine isn't really a line but when people hang up the phone without saying bye. I would call them back and bitch them out.
