Not even close. Internment of Japanese Americans was bad and embarrassing, but they weren't systematically abused and deprived of all rights.
The answer, in the short term, was black Americans during slavery. Long term, it may be Native Americans, as our actions largely destroyed their identity.

Go out to a few restaurants. See how many African Americans are there. Now tell me how many Native Americans you see.

I dated a girl who lived in Philadelphia, MS. There is a reservation near there, so you see a lot of Native Americans. They were destitute, for the most part. It was tough to see.

Many slaves were treated very well...i don't think the injuns were ever treated well. Long and short term the answer is native americans.

Still, the answer to the original question is Native Americans. White America destroyed those people.

Native Americans. But it seems to me that everyone but native americans are offended by the Redskin name.

Native Americans by a mile.
The Internment camps were bad, but they were temporary and far more humane than either institutional slavery or genocide.

I was born in America
If only I would have been born in Burma, Rhodesia, Sudan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Eastern Europe, one of the other countless paradises for liberty and fair treatment of our fellow man.

No one is claiming we are not lucky to have been born in the U.S. That also doesn't mean we as a country haven't committed some atrocious injustices against a group of people.
We are extremely luck to be Americans. We will remain so by acknowledging our failures and building on our successes.
