USC Oklahoma Miami Notre Dame michigan Alabama UGA Virginia Tech Tennessee BYU Ole miss Arkansas A&M UCLA Wisconsin Arizona State These are just a few schools that now have neutral site games on an annual basis fort he foreseeable future. No one likes it, but athletic departments just want more $$$.
NONE of those schools have played as many neutral site games as LSU. We've played a neutral site game in 4 of last 5 seasons with many more scheduled and to come (currently 2 neutral site games in the next 4 seasons after 2014). LSU is taking the best non- conference games each year and playing them away from tiger stadium. It's a total ripoff to paying season ticket holders who are the life blood of the program. Few other schools, if any, are doing it this frequently.

Exactly why attendance is lagging across the country and why the NFL dominates it in ratings.

A total ripoff? How dramatic.

Says a non season ticket holder. For the "Wal-Mart" LSU fans who watch each game on tv I guess it doesn't matter where the game is played.

I find it crazy how LSU spends all this money on expanding TS and then decides to play big ooc games at neutral sites.
They must make a killing off these games. It's the only explanation. Not football recruting, not "academic recruiting", not more exposure, just $$$$$.

Exactly. What is the point of expanding and updating the stadium? So it will look good for the two decent SEC games we have a season? Pissing $$$ away.

Okay, peter parker. I didn't realize you knew every poster on here at a personal level
My dad has season ticekts, and we have family that's had some of their seats for over 30 years, so don't give me that condescending bullshite. If you had the finances to belittle someone you don't know on the board, you wouldn't be bitching about a road trip to fricking dallas.
A lot of people on here are just saying that even though no one is a fan f it, it's just the way athletic departments are structuring their budgets. I haven't read about a single Alabama fan bitch and moan about their neutral site games, and they're the strongest program in college football. they've played just as many as LSU and look forward to expanding their brand.
So in the end, I like that our athletic department does what's best for LSU, not what's best for some anonymous tigerdroppings hardass

Man let's do a home and home. We could entice by going there first.
And i know that Miami is talking about 2018, but our 2014-2017 OOC games are arse. We aren't Bama, we don't need these all these shitty arse games. Unless we go undefeated, the committee won't give us the benefit of the doubt over other obviously weaker undefeated teams.
We do have Penn State at a neutral for 2020, so maybe we can get a home and home with Miami for 2018 and 2020.

They have at least one, maybe two home and home every year minus Bama who is worse than us. If we are going to do a neutral every yeae, we need at least one decent home and home yearly.

Damn! It looks like my two decades of being a season ticket holder may soon come to an end.
What's the point when the top OOC games aren't at home and the quality conference games are almost never at night.
I can save $2K each season and buy a new tv.
It's sad how in 2014 money is more important than tradition.
