Someone needs to ask BO to explain to the American people how they could possibly get a substantial rate of return on this investment. Personally, I don't give a damn about the Syrian rebels.

No shite. Didn't we already try to arm those stupid ragheads? Isn't that what mission in Benghazi was all about? What happened to those weapons? Do the moderates still have them? Why in the hell do we, the U. S., give a rat's arse about Syria?

Seriously? You can't make your point without dropping that?

quote:America is arming the ISIS in Syria to overthrow the government, and is also supporting the government in Iraq to fight the ISIS to help prevent the overthrow of its government.
So we are going to give ISIS money in Syria so it can be used in Iraq?
It's insane but it's US foreign policy.

^that is what I mean we are arming the Syrian rebels, and who is ISIS = Syrian rebels
This is a level of fricked up I cant even comprehend.

Maybe we could buy a few tanks and gun trucks from ISIS. We gave them more than they need.

Okay, serious question, who are these "vetted" Syrian opposition organizations? Names? Links?
This is getting insane.

Why does Obama want to provide guns to those who are clinging to their religion?
Why does our peace prize president want to solve problems with more violence?
I thought more guns didn't equal less crime?
Why does he want to put more weapons of war on the street?
There is no need to give out such terrible assault weapons to socially conservative backwards religious nuts!
Seriously, those are his domestic weapons arguments...

All of the hyperbole and rhetoric of the poliboard without the pleasing aesthetics. Wow.
Still does not even remotely answer my question. Which of the armed Syrian opposition groups has been vetted.
Unfortunately, I think I already know the answer. This is insane.

Will one of my liberal brethren please (please) explain what we are attempting to achieve by spending $500 million dollars to arm and train "vetted" opposition groups in Syria. Please?
