I will call the BR campus alumni association and ask.
I did call and ask if I can join their alumni association and wear the “Forever LSU” ring and they said yes. So I ordered my ring. I’m very excited. I will join the national association since I live outside the state.
This would not be an issue for me but now that I know LSUS changed from tigers to pilots and from Mike to a swamp monster it became too much. It’s an embarrassment.

I have a few more thoughts on this. LSUS has a different logo and a different mascot and a different ranking in US News. This to me means a different school from the main campus. Sure its within the system, but in my town I have 2 high schools within the same district/system, yet they are different schools that provide perceived different levels of education. In fact homes within the one schools boundaries sell for more because of this. If LSU and LSUS were the same, I believe at the very least rankings would be the same. Don't get me wrong, I would love to put just LSU on my resume when I am done as I do believe it would add more cachet to it even here in Philadelphia, but I think not making it known that is was a branch campus might be interpreted as hiding something and stretching the truth. I am certain this would come up when HR does their background checks and that could be a deal-killer. Not listing the campus would be viewed as a purposeful omission. I mean think if a person who attended the main campus saw just LSU on your resume and said something like "Hey remember this place..." and you would have to explain. Just saying.

I just finished Assessment 5 and it was much better than 3 and 4.

Do you mind sharing MKT701 with Darratt syllabus at nirnaybansal@gmail.com. Thanks!

I'm just finishing up my first class. Are all the MBA classes based on a 10 point scale without having A-? My undergrad had A and A- with different GPA weights.

This MKT class with Darrat is definitely the worst class that I have taken in the program. Test 2 was just like test 1 with only about half of the information that is needed included in the provided class material. I did purchase a copy of the suggested book (That was not provided in the class), so I will make sure to read chapters 7,8,9 for the final test. The non-grading of Case Study #2 before #3 is due does not help either. My rental TA that I was assigned is extremely slow on grading everything. Not the way that I wanted to end the program, as this is my last class. 2 more weeks, 2 more weeks, 2 more weeks.

Just be glad you are not up to your eyeballs in K. James MKT701 project. I'm hating Darrat's MKT701 class, but it seems like the better of two evils. I still have to write my last case study, but that is what I will be doing for the next 3-4 hours. I found Exam 2 to be a bit better than Exam 1, but then I read the chapters in the text. Once this case study is done, it's all downhill to the finish line. A couple FIN 701 exams, 3 discussion questions, and 1 last MKT exam.

I got 12 percentage points higher on the second test. I went over the powerpoints, read the textbook then powerpoints one last time. There were still 2 or 3 questions that did not seem to be from the powerpoints or the text, but the textbook did seem to make a difference. My grader is also slow as hell (I didn't get my case 2 grade till way too late), but I can't complain as I've been doing very well on the writing assignments. Much better than my MKT 705 grader who nitpicks every tiny thing, some of it quite unreasonably.
I'm hoping that this MKT 701 class really is the worst class in the program. I'm doing well in it aside from the ridiculousness of the tests. Seriously though, this could have been a good class if it had weekly tests on just the one subject. Also actual lecture videos, not just a powerpoint which lacks the explanations for the pieces which are obviously meant to include additional examples. Oh... and assignments that actually seem to have some bearing on the subject matter... but other than that it would have been a great class!

This is my biggest criticism of the entire program. Actual lectures would improve everything.

I got 12 percentage points higher on the second test also in MKT 701. I have to say I got an awesome grader this term in MKT. In fact, I submitted my Case Study 3 mid-day on Sunday, had a grade back by evening, before the turn-in deadline even hit!
Finished FIN701 Exam 3, was the easiest one so far. There were so many ways it could have been ugly, but I guess I got lucky on the question selection and every quant question was one I had built into my excel models.
Feeling really good heading into the last 11 days of this program.

I was just accepted into the LSUS MBA program. There are 321 pages of comments on this topic--WOW. I've been called twice in the last two days to make sure I am comfortable with the process. I work full time and have signed up for ISDS 705 and HCAD 750 for the session starting in 3 weeks.
I graduated from LSU in December 2000....a LONG time ago. This whole process has me a touch nervous and very excited.
I look forward to reading all of the comments. :-)

Still no BGS invite for summer graduates. I wonder if they forgot about us?
