Hiring someone based solely on their IVY league degree is nothing more than elitist rubbish. To those that embrace this practice, knock yourselves out. I’ll allow my work product to represent my capabilities. No degree, regardless of the granting institution, should define the quality of a person as a contributor to an organization.
As for a 4.0, I earned mine. Was it difficult? Nope. Earning an MBA was a personal goal. I didn’t need it, and I’m not bitter because it didn’t live up to my every expectation. Buyers remorse can be a real bitch.

Well folks, I’m done. 4.0 easily obtained with dedication and attention to detail. This forum was a great asset. The experience was worth it. A few thoughts:
Dr. Kim Williams: great professor (MADM 720). Super elective to get you back into the writing and critical thinking process.
Dr. S (ECON 705): best quantitative professor in the program.
Ambrosio (ACCT 701): take accounting with this gent. Trust me.
Dr. M. Kim (MKT 705): best marketing course in the program. Much better than 701 from any other faculty. She should be teaching 701. Take as an elective and learn a lot.
Thanks to all that contributed to the forum. Search for and understand Baroqen’s posts, they are spot on.
Congratulations to all that are finishing up!

For those that are interested:
MKT 705 is, IMO, the best marketing course in the program. It is what MKT 701 should be, and I can’t recommend Dr. Kim highly enough. If you enjoy a well-structured course that includes weekly writing assignments and exams that cover pertinent content that is covered in the weekly module, you won’t find much better. It is, indeed, an elective that provides value.

My advice is to start with ACCT.

Based on my experience with the program, I believe more stringent requirements to enter the program would decrease the number of whiners we encounter. Some of the folks I’ve encountered have no business in grad school. In some extreme cases, I’m surprised they were able to earn an undergrad degree.

Baroqen, think you might have the course numbers crossed up at the end of your post.

Most of the professors being inquired about are fairly new. These folks appeared recently as a result of the change implemented by the school where core classes will be offered every AP. Opinions may be hard to come by, but a forum search may provide tidbits of information. There is also a Facebook group available that may prove useful.
Enough people complained last term and he did record his Zoom sessions.
Anyone know who is teaching the MADM 710 section with faculty TBA?
I'll add that Dr. Kim Williams provided lectures and discussion forums for MADM 720. The class was heavy on writing but I appreciated her format as it was similar to Shaughnessy's and a nice change from the hands-off approach that so many other professors employ.

Read through and highlight text for McLaughlin. Don’t rely on slides only.
Don’t cheat yourself on course content. IMO the most valuable course in the program.

Minimal article content included in Lin’s tests. Exam content is mostly from text. Be aware though, that although minimal, the content from articles could be the difference in letter grade.

Thank you, Cin8.
Thanks, Rocky for your comments, exactly what I was looking for. Anyone have similar comments for the other classes?
Could someone please elaborate on the format/difficulty of the following classes:
ISDS 702 Quantitative Methods in Business
ISDS 715 Project Management
MADM 710 Strategic Management of Human Capital
MADM 730 International Business
I need one more elective for Spring AP1 or AP2 and I'm looking for the best balance between usefulness and ease of completion.
Thanks.

Take it with McLaughlin. No group B.S.

It is so disappointing. My evaluation of the course included the shortcomings we all faced.

MKT 701 Exam 3:
I felt pretty good going in, but made a 52! Very uncharacteristic for me, I just can’t believe it. I was also pretty confident that I had done well when I submitted it. Something fishy going on, I believe.

If you need an elective and aren’t afraid of a little writing, I can’t recommend MADM 720 enough. Dr. Kim Williams is a great prof who’s involved and she genuinely cares about your success. I wish she taught more of the courses.

baroqen, you won't be disappointed. She's hands off, but the format of the course is what made it great. And trust me, I leaned a lot.
