He didn't. KD doesn't play defense. Even with that wingspan, he never got close enough to touch me.

Durant finally wins an MVP shooting 50.3%. That's what LeBron shot when he was 25. Let's see if KD can increase that to 51% at 26, 53.1% at 27, 56.5% at 28 and 56.7% at 29
easy to have 56% when all of your shots are layups

or dunks

He had a horrific night, but his ridiculous 3 late started OKC's rally in the final 2 minutes.

did i say it was?

KD's shot percentage is more impressive bc he takes more jump shots. i tend to think those are harder to make

KD's shot percentage at 50% is more impressive than Lebron's at 56%?

I don't care what his percentage was as long as he helps his team win, which he did, especially at the end.

a layup is easier than a free throw, which is easier than a corner 3. This basic tenet is almost entirely overlooked by our most popular shooting metrics

Also, I'm guessing you think Blake griffins 52.8% is more impressive than Durant's

Was that really the way you understood his post?

I guess Shaq's 58% for his career makes him more impressive than both. Hell, he averaged over 60% with the Suns

And let me know the next time Scott Brooks asks Kevin Durant to defend a point guard like Derrick Rose or Tony Parker in crunch time or defend 7-footers in the low post all in the same game....or when KD has a few rings

This man gets it

Yes, he clarified it that way as well, no?

Completely different player in terms of how he got his points and where he got them from. Not even close to a legit comparison.

Well maybe KD should just dunk and layup more.

At 25

KD: 29.8 PER, 123 ortg, 104 drtg, 63.5 TS%
50.3%/39.1%/87.3%
7.4 RPG
5.5 APG
32.0 PPG

LJ: 31.1 PER, 121 ortg, 102 drtg, 60.4 TS%
50.3%/33.3%/76.7%
7.3 RPG
8.6 APG
29.7 PPG

KD's %FGA by distance
0-3ft - .223
3-10ft - .150
10-16ft - .191
16ft<3pt - .145
3pt - .291

LJ's %FGA by distance
0-3ft - .342
3-10ft - .082
10-16ft - .061
16ft<3pt - .262
3pt - .253

At 25, KD is a better scorer and LJ is a better distributor. Both are equivalent rebounders. Defense is a wash

Where do you come up with this stuff? Durant is statistically GREAT on defense and has better numbers on that end of the floor than LeBron the past 2-3 seasons.

?

NBA coaches vote on all defensive team. Lebron has been on it the last 5 years, Durant none.

You do understand that different players play differently, correct?
