What is your best gambling story: Scared Money Never Wins Edition

I was in college and had my last $100 bucks towards the end of the semester. I needed $700 in order meet my obligations for the rest of month. I took that c-note and went to the casino at let it ride on craps. I hit 3 in a row doubling down. Mission accomplished, so I left.

This one time, I quit gambling. And so far have stuck to it.

Each round has two phases: "come-out" and "point". To start a round, the shooter makes one or more "come-out" rolls. A come-out roll of 2, 3 or 12 is called "craps" or "crapping out", and anyone betting the Pass line loses. A come-out roll of 7 or 11 is a "natural", and the Pass line wins. The other possible numbers are the point numbers: 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10. If the shooter rolls one of these numbers on the come-out roll, this establishes the "point" - to "pass" or "win", the point number must be rolled again before a seven. The dealer flips a button to the "On" side and moves it to the point number signifying the second phase of the round. If the shooter "hits" the point value again (any value of the dice that sum to the point will do; the shooter doesn't have to exactly repeat the value combination of the come-out roll) before rolling a seven, the Pass line wins and a new round starts. If the shooter rolls any seven before repeating the point number (a "seven-out"), the Pass line loses and the dice pass clockwise to the next new shooter for the next round. In all the above scenarios, whenever the Pass line wins, the Don't Pass line loses, and vice versa, with one exception: on the come-out roll, a roll of 12 will cause Pass Line bets to lose, but Don't Pass bets are pushed (or "barred"), neither winning nor losing. (The same applies to "Come" and "Don't Come" bets, discussed below.)

I piss off old people when I play blackjack so I usually don't hang around long.
"This is bad blackjack, I can't stay here."
Guess what, I'll split tens if I damn well please!

I once raw dogged a young lady I met at a concert.

19 or 20 and was already down 700 for the week. Only game to bet on was astros and dodgers. I put 500 on LA (would have lost 775) and the astros led 1-0 going into the 9th. Strawberry hit a 2 run shot or maybe a solo and they won in extra? I was happy only losing 200 instead of 1500

There are people who love to say I won $$, blah blah blah last night.
I always respond with well what did you clear?.....Lifetime
The house always wins, no matter how good you think you are at a game of pure chance and odds.

someone needs to pulled the classics threads where AlejandroinHouston dropped something like $5,000 on the Saints-Packers opener in 2010 and lost

I don't gamble much but I do have a CSB about my first time gambling
sat down with 100 bucks at a 1/2 dollar blind hold em table at harrahs NOLA right after I turned 21. Was nervous as shite. I had played a ton of home games but never sat down with that amount of money in front of me.
Anyway, long story short, I was dealt AQ my first hand and flopped a straight. Eventually guy forces me all in. Freaking out because it was my first hand and I think there were 3 hearts showing or something that suggest I may have ran into someone catching a flush or something on the river. Called after convincing myself that it would be okay if I lost Ended up beating his two pair and was very excited.
Very next hand, dealt AJ. Catch a full house on the turn. Go all in and get a call. Dude turns over another AJ and we chop.
buddy and I played another 45 minutes and walked away with about $250. Nothing major obviously but kind of crazy for a first experience

Went to Marksvile just to eat, dropped a 10er in a slot. Second spin payed out a little over $3500. Walk right out the door after that.
