Not having $6 more bucks in my pocket cost me $10,000 at the end of long day at the track during my college years.

Still pisses me off.

$10,000 jackpot on a $1 Crazy Cherry VGT Slot Machine.

Was getting my arse kicked that night up until that moment.

Not a happy story but I bet $1K on Duke in the 2004 Natl. semi against Uconn. Duke was a 1.5 dog (edit) so I just took the moneyline. Tight game all the way, with Duke leading most of the game. Down four, Trajan Langdon hit a half-court shot at the buzzer to cover the spread I didn't bet.

My best gambling story involves a fortune cookie that actually helped me once, it was a few years ago while Favre was with Minnesota playing against Dallas in the playoffs. I was set to bet on Dallas to win, but right before I placed a mobile sports bet on the game I opened my fortune cookie at a sushi bar and looked at my fortune. It read: "The color purple will bring you luck." I immediately changed my mind and put $50 on Minnesota instead, sure enough they won.

Church fair late 60's . I observed a classmate leaning on the rail watching as us kids rode the scrambler over and over. I knew his family was poor and he prob had no money to buy tickets. I gave him and my last 4 tickets and watched him grab his little sister and run to get in line. I made my way to cafeteria for bingo. Bought one card for a quarter and proceeded to win a $45 pot. I feel to this day I was rewarding by The Lord for showing compassion for others....... Somehow I grew up a conservative and haven't shown compassion since

You do know you can't just pick up your original bet until you roll 7, right?

Prolly would care if you were in his position. Nothing worse than having someone hit a bust card and lose everybody's money

The bachelor on a bachelor party lost all the money he had set aside to gamble with so he just played the penny slots getting trashed the last night at the casino.

I walk up to him and his first pull of the slot machine in front of me he wagered a nickle or dime and won 2 grand. It was the highest jackpot that cheapo slot machine paid out.

I was so pissed.

It's a game of chance. You have more than likely benefitted from people's "stupid play" just as much as it has hurt you. How are yall not understanding that?

Oh also I sat next to Rob Dyrdek at a Roulette table.

I was putting $10 on numbers and he was putting $1,000 on numbers.

Don't think either of us won, but damn it was tough watching him throw away 50 grand when I was just a poor college student.

People hitting when a dealer shows a bust card grinds my gears as well.

Superstition more than anything I think. I wouldn't ever complain or leave a table because of that though. People who live in casinos just suck at life 99% of the time and are bitter humans.

Group of guys in my neighborhood had a hold'em night. I'd never played, only watched it on TV. Just knew the basic rules of poker. First game was $100 buy in, winner take all.

Got down to "a chip and a chance" many times, but ultimately it got down to me and one other dude. He had 3 of a kind, and thought he'd one. I had to point out to him twice that I had a straight. Walked in with $200, left that table with my same $200 plus $1,000, then, played a few other smaller games/lost another hundred or so.

Felt good walking back home with that stack of cash though.

Went to Harrah's, blew all of my money on Blackjack. Friend of mine's gf was playing 3-Card Poker and hit a straight flush, won like $5k. They threw me a purple and I hit a straight flush the very next hand.

Another time at Hard Rock in Biloxi, I went to sleep around 2AM after losing a few hundred. Woke up around 10AM and after realizing my other two friends handn't returned to the room and went looking for them; they handn't slept and one of my friends was up about $14k.

I've also seen a friend's dad lose ~$100,000.

I normally do pretty well at the Craps table. It's not out of the ordinary for me to lose a good bit on Blackjack and make it all back, plus some, throwing the dice. I've also hit the bad beat jackpot in the poker room at Harrah's.

That's sickening. Was he at least a millionaire, or was he playing with retirement money?

Nah, just your regular ol degenerate gambler lol. He hadn't put up that much of his own money, I'd say $10k was his and the rest was winnings that he pissed away.
