Keep in mind we've gone from 6 billion to 7 billion in less than 10 years .

When we stop eating meat, start eating bugs for our main protein and the bugs are running low...

20 Billion with terrestrial resources only.
More than that and we better be farming on man made satellites and mining the planets and their moons.

Unless a severe plague like thing happens. I think it's safe to say that it will. Already probably too many people.

I predict this century is going to end in disaster and worldwide famine. America, Europe, and China/Japan I predict will let the rest of the world starve. China is already actively planning this by buying up tons of land in Africa, and while it is producing jobs in Africa for the time being, it will soon be used to feed their population almost solely.

Well the entire earth's population could fit into Texas if it was as densely packed as NYC.
If you're talking about food I don't know.

with the efficiencies in farming and development of GMOs, we use fewer resources to feed more people today

population growth is slowing down, fertility rates are declining. agricultural and technological advancements in food production will assure that large scale famines do not happen
the rate at which we hit 8 billion and then 9 billion will be slower than when we hit 6 and 7 billion
