Captain America: Winter Soldier ***(SPOILERS)***

One last chance, SPOILERS ARE INCLUDED
Just a few Easter Eggs I noticed....
1)Stephen Strange (Dr. Strange) name drop
2)Insight target included Tony Stark in the Stark Tower in New York
3)On Nick Fury's head stone the Bible Verse was Ezekiel 25:17 "The path of the righteous man..." (Pulp Fiction)
4)Bucky holding Cap's shield (possible foreshadowing of him taking over after Avengers 3)?
I'm really excited to see where the MCU goes from here now that SHIELD is no more. I never would of thought they would do something as crazy as that, but thats what makes the MCU great.
Also, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch look fantastic in the short time we see them in the after credit scene. Age of Ultron is setting up to be even better than the first.
Overall I thought this movie was fantastic and is by far the best stand alone Marvel movie.

Easily the best.
My one question is.
Now that Shield is no more.
What the hell happens to Agents of Shield the TV show.
Cause gassing that plane is going to be pricey.

SPOILERS
You know, I want to be shocked by it, but the Guardians move is still kind of ballsy. I can see them succeeding at something like this.
I also think it's good to play that arc out, especially for Cap, and have him move beyond SHIELD.
It's going to be different, that much is true.
Yup.
And I really dug both the Winter Soldier and just the heavy dose of action this movie brought. As good as the rest have been, there was something more grounded and intense about the sequences in CA:WS. And Bucky was a fantastic villain to use. I didn't like him as much as Loki, but he's certainly a character to watch as we move forward.
Evans is on for 6 films. He'll be on his fourth. Cap 3 is already green-lit. I wouldn't mind Stan for a couple of films, but the MCU needs a Steve Rogers, sadly to say, even if it isn't Evans.

So that's who those twins were. Not a comic reader so had no clue.

a) LMD
b) It has to happen sometime, at least if they keep at least somewhat following the comics.

Just got back from the movie. My review in six words: Batman does not stance a chance.

What's going to happen to "Agent's of SHIELD?
What's crazy is last week set up that SHIELD had bad people inside it.
I wish Colson showed up in the movie.
A lot of great action. I liked the dramatic turn. Like a high powered espionage movie. It was hard to get who was really in on what until Redford showed his colors.
I liked the Hydra angle, and their most famous leader was in the after credits scene with Quicksiler and Scarlet Witch so that was neat too.
I wonder what will come of Bucky.
I liked the winter soldier a lot. Interesting turn of events with him.

Just got out of it. Absolutely terrific film. Highly recommend.

Holy shite, this movie was light years better than I thought it would be.
Not the thrill ride of Avengers, but extremely solid for it.
I chuckle now at a guy on here who scorned the element of the trailer that "So what, now every movie will climax with Sheild's flying bases going down?"
Literally couldn't be further than what really happened.

This film was excellent and not just as a comic book film. You could remove the "super hero" elements from the film and still have a very fine action/spy drama. Marvel really has it together the way they are setting up each film and how they all tie together. They are running so many circles around DC right now, I doubt DC ever catches up. To your left DC, to your left.

Damn. That movie was awesome! In the other thread the OP says there were 2 post credit scenes and I only saw the first..
Spoilers..
I only saw the one with the Scientist guy and the twins doing crazy shite. Was there another one after this? If so what was it?
Also. Did the scientist guy (I'm assuming Dr. Strange??) have Loki's scepter?

The path of the righteous man
I was the only one in the theatre to laugh at that. I shook my head and said Pulp Fiction. Others began to explain it after.
The gasps when they revealed Bucky as WS was hilarious to me.

About to see it for my second time to a. See this kick arse flick again and b. Spot all the little things I missed at my first viewing.

i really don't like captain america, but this was one of the best comic movies, period
the first 2 batman movies and x-men first class are probably the only ones i'd be ahead of it
i also liked the 2nd thor movie...that may actually be right behind this one
but i wasn't a big fan of the first run of x-men and spider-man, fwiw

Soo................how the hell did Magneto manage to lose his children?
I mean, what happened? "Oh, I was at the supervillain convention and turned my back for 5 minutes and hydra took my babies."

Good news here:
LINK
It also cracked $200 overseas, so $300 million worldwide on a $177 million dollar budget. And Cap 3 is now set for May 6, 2016.

I don't want the Winter Soldier to take over for Cap. He's a great villain. Even now, being conflicted, he makes a great counterpart for Rogers.
That's something I felt the comics shot their load on pretty quickly. He went from debut to being Captain America in a ridiculously short amount of time.

I sat through this with the SO the other day. I thought it was terrible. I don't see what the fuss is about. Maybe I'm over this Marvel iteration.

I don't have much to add here. Not reading 9 pages though.
I really liked how they found time in the movie to dig into Steve Rogers. He still is very much an awkward 5'4" NY boy in a man's body.
Much, much better than the first CA.

I notice weird shite in movies. Did anyone feel as though they were watching a 3 hour TV show. I mean this in terms of production quality. It didn't look like a movie type film. It looked like a long TV show. I did love the movie btw. I thought the action was great, and the villain was awesome. Also I don't remember them confiscating Loki's sceptor at the end of Avengers. Or did they somehow transport it to earth after Loki's "death" in Thor 2?
