The problem with automatic headlights is that you don't realize your tail lights are not on which is just as dangerous as not having your headlights on.

That's mainly what I'm referring to in regard to DRLs. If the DRLs are on, your dash lights should be very dim or off completely since your tail lights are not on. If your headlights click on, your tail lights should follow suit.

I travel in the right lane when I'm not passing or if someone wants to pass me. I generally drive in the left lane because I set my cruise on 76-78 and pass other cars quite often.

I think it is time to cut grooves in the left lanes that would cause an annoying vibrating sound as you drive over them. Space them out so that they happen every 10 seconds. I guarantee Left Lane Larry would get over in the right lane to avoid the annoying sound.

It is a passing lane on any multilane highway. Of course if you are in BR, the congestion part of the rule probably applies.
