It's his policies, not the color of his skin. Yeah right. The truth is revealed

So armed with evidence if ONE racist, you extrapolate it out to a widely held opinion?

Bigot much?

So not one black person voted for Obama just because he is black?

Explain the difference between the two, if you can.

So was it racist when Eric Holder argued against voter ID laws, vowing that it would hurt "his people"?

He's the Attorney General, and he obviously has 2 standards.

One for his "people", another for those who aren't.

Seed...you ought to know that stuff won't fly here. This board is honest...and smart.

And there ain't a racist on here. People are slammed or celebrated in regard to their CHARACTER. Just like MLK suggested.

But it's just like the Tigers playing the Tide...if Obama/Holder make it about color, division/double standards of 'justice' and competition...then the folks here and everywhere will react with their NATURALLY INGRAINED inclination to side along color lines.

'Sew the wind...reap a whirlwind'. Just be a man of character...and let this race stuff go. Or not. Live and learn.

Conversely, I feel bad for black people who have waited for a black president. When it finally happened, the black president turned out to be a closet white-progressive retard. Oh well, maybe 240 years from now there'll be another black president and he'll worry less with ideology and more with practicality.

You are right.

It is not because his domestic agenda is rooted in his belief in wealth redistribution and the need for 'economic justice'.

It is not because his administration's energy policy actions make Jimmy Carter look like a wizard.

It is not because his religious practices have included Islam and black liberation theology.

It is not because he has transformed America's foreign policy from 'speak softly and carry a big stick' to 'shout declarations and carry a twig'.

It is not because he inspires pessimism and makes excuses instead of inspiring confidence and promoting excellence.

It is not because he had no significant work history or leadership experience outside of academia and politics before being elected and as far as I can tell, never worked a hard day in his life.

It is because he is Irish.

I don't like Micks.

There, I said it.

Happy now?

For argument's sake lets say that everyone, without exception, who opposes Obama does so strictly because of the color of his skin. Does that revelation and admission somehow make his policies wiser, more prudent and beneficial to the country?

Isn't bad policy still bad policy regardless of who may be pointing out the shortcomings?

Should I find a clip of some people stating that they loved Bush but disagreed with his policy of blowing up the levees?

So the fact that most black people support Obama vehemently (despite his harmful policies to black people) because he is the first black president...does not make them racists?

I am very anxious to hear your answer to this

File this in the "fwiw" department.

I recently attended the 90th birthday party of the grandfather of one of my closest friends. It was a pretty big bash, with probably close to 50 people in attendance. My friend is black and so is his grandfather. Both are also registered Democrats, again fwiw.

A lot of the children and grandchildren got up and talked about what a great man their grandfather/father is. Raised in poverty in Mississippi by his grandparents because his father ran out on the family, this man instilled in his children the importance of hard work and education. Not coincidentally, we met in the home of one of his sons, a PhD in business and professor of business administration at a local Cal State university.

After all the kids got up and talked, the grandfather rose to speak. He ripped into Obama, warning his grandchildren that Obama is leading the country down a path from which it will be difficult to recover. He spoke as a proud veteran of the US Army, a man who served his country with dignity, then was told to sit in the back of the bus when he got back home. But he said it did not make him bitter. He simply resolved to work even harder. And he once again told his children and grandchildren (many of whom are educators, and one is a published poet) of the importance of work and education.

Men like him and families like his are at the heart of what makes America great. I don't think he's a racist because he thinks Obama is destroying America.
