Your loss then, this is actually a productive thread, as far as the PT goes. I'm impressed both by DS and the board in general with keeping it civil and at least SOMEWHAT non partisan.

'rhetoric' means 'speech.' Therefore, you want to have a discussion without anyone speaking.

With each and every one of them being a landowner, they would have absolutely shite themselves over Kelo.

You read the case there sparky? stick to emoticons and ad hominem. Just because you don't understand the law... doesn't change the law.

You missed the point. Not surprising.

So why the thread?
You've run a good thread here DS, but if your take was "politicians gonna politician" what was the point?

I'm sorry but I don't really think the dual hypocrisy of both the democrats or the republicans, something i even touched on in my OP, is as relevant to the discussion as you do.

ok. I am about to board a plane and don't have time to explain it to you. Read it again and see if you get anything more out of it. If you still don't catch on I'll explain Friday. ....I hope the suspense doesn't kill you.

DS, the use of any 'power', is defined relative to the CONSEQUENCES of that use.
One thing is for sure, with the polarized electorate in this nation, we will see more Executive mandates and Constitutional overreaches in the near future. The Congress is at a stalemate...and Mexican standoff, in regard to dumping the Constitution and going Socialist...or going back. There will be NO going back. More like going forward...to insolvency...and only God knows what thereafter. Civil war of sorts. It's going on all over the World right now. An economic collapse would affect this spoiled bunch in ways that even the Third World won't. And throw in all the cultural antipathy and armed citizenry...and 'executive power' won't really matter. Ask Assad, or Morsi...or that dude down in Venezuela.
