I get sex so that's a plus I guess but that should be a given anyway. Yea she probably would be upset if I didn't get her anything

I got a personalized box of m&m's. It was pretty funny. And the package it came in was really cool.

I was pretty adamant about her not getting me anything, but she surprised me with a basket of running gifts (reflector vest and strobe light, 3 pairs of running socks, some gels, etc.). Pretty solid gift.

sounds like you guys need to communicate through these types of things and set some reasonable expectations for both of you to follow

I got a Yeti. A Dress shirt and socks from Carriages and a $55 gift card for a shave and spa treatment

My wife's been stuck in the house with our kids for the past 3 days. Except yesterday afternoon she took them both (8 months old and nearly 6 years old) to work with her for a few hours, then drove a half hour to pick her mom up from work since the roads were too bad in the morning. I drove her mom to work. So my wife hasn't had the time to get me anything, and let me know last night so that I didn't go all out and get her anything. I told her I already had her a card, and she said that is enough.
Of course this is a test and she will be thrilled to see some flowers this evening, and a little upset if there are none. But nothing too big, because that is a waste of money and they die in a week, but just a few red roses, or tulips since they're her favorites and not the cliche V-Day gift. The things you learn in 10 years of marriage.

I got dumped, which in my twisted mind means I received the gift of being able to see other people.

I give my husband a card and I've been giving him small, silly gifts for a week. I will make special dinner tonight. He will get me cards, candy, maybe a small gift and will prob take me out over the weekend.
I would stop giving her things on these occasions. If she inquires, I would simply say "Oh, I thought we didnt do that anymore." See what happens. It could be a bloodbath, or she might get the message. I think that's pretty crappy thing for her to do, fwiw.

In South Korea women give men chocolate on Valentine's Day.
