I hope I am able to hunt my bud bud to that age. I barely got to hunt this year and was only able to take him 3 times. Kills me not being able to hunt him more. However this was prob one of my worst years ever in term of times hunted and birds killed. Will be done with school by next season and have added some additional places closer to me to hunt so hopefully will be able to get him some more time in the field next year.

I had to save your photos to my camera roll on my phone. I have a jail broken iPhone so I can remove the big time and date off the lockscreen and also remove the slide to unlock image so it enables you to use pictures and see the beauty of them better. I am going to use them as lockscreen wallpapers.

We had a poor season, but he probably made 60+ retrieves. It'll be tough not hunting him next year, but I hope to have another dog by next season.

This was my first season, I've wanted to try duck hunting for most of my life but neither my Dad or Powpows hunt. Last year I bought an 870 and started practicing at Hunters Run with my uncle. Finally got the invite on a couple trips towards the end of the season.

No stellar trips but I had a blast and shot my first ducks and geese. Now I'm hooked, going to practice my calling this year and break out on my own for next season, can't wait!

Bonus pic, my cousin shot this banded speck with a radio collar the day before the big freeze.

Took my little nephew on his first duck hunt this morning. Went to my gaddy brake behind my house. He hulled a half a box and didn't cut a feather. Then all the sudden he knocked a double out in two shots. A woody drake (water) and a gad drake (out the sky). He was so pumped he proceeded to shot another box without killing another. But he got his first and 2nd duck so mission accomplished. Good times.

I started shooting and we came out with 6.

Didn't hunt much this year due to young pop's arrival in October. Made a few, killed a few (not many). Had a damn good time though, looking forward to next year

Opening day massacre with Coco and another cat - best hunt in years, made the season.

Fortunate enough to still get to hunt with my pow pow. 86 years old making it rain with the 10 gauge.

10 years ago, hell yes. The sky used to get black. We would hop in the pits 30 minutes before daylight and just listen to the ducks crashing in around us. My uncle had people come in from all over the country to guide (Travis Tritt hunted my farm with DU film crew years ago).

Every year it gets worse. I have killed more passing geese in the past 5 years than I have ducks. This year we left rice stubble (shown in pic), but it didnt seem to do any good. I spend most of my time on the river instead of the farm, but the river was actually worse this year.

Report as of two weeks ago: 7,582 killed at our club in Cameron Parish

Didn't have a hunting buddy this year, but I'll definitely have one ready for next season. Brought Josey back a Pool-Deaux...
