nice Brewers!

My duck hunting has been pretty weak for a second season in a row, but I've already hunted twice what I did last year, with one more planned.

Far cry from the old days of 45 days/year.

I had a GREAT year in LA and interact with many good hunters that were nice enough to set their decoys right next to mine so we always had a big spread. Occasionaly they would play a joke on me by calling at ducks coming to my decoy, most of the time the birds left but it was all in good fun. I was even nice enough to call birds to my decoy and let the neighbors shoot at them at 70 yards to see how long there range was

Fellow hunters stayed on there calls so we alwasy sounded like a bunch of ducks on teh water. Teamwork. Posted is my two best hunts of the year and i will never forget the lesser blacks we shot one morning

Didn't get out to Yancey again. I'm actually thinking about heading out there next weekend to do some scouting for next year though.

Yea my buddy finally got his boat fixed so we are thinking of making a scouting trip someplace. Where do you stay when you are up there? The Edwards?

I don't stay overnight when I hunt the refuge. I hump it back to BR through False River/new bridge.

Likely why I only made 1 trip up there this season. That drive is bullshite.

Yea I usually go 49 then through Pineville but thats coming from Laff. The Edwards is in Jonesville and is fairly close to the refuge if you ever want to make an overnight trip.

Many a night spent in that lovely ole town, getting rowdy with the locals at the ole downtowner. Have to be careful not to get killed though. All the lovely dikes at chances.
