Amen, brother. My wife asked me if I was getting her a "push present." I asked what a push present was? She informed me that it was a gift for her for pushing out the baby. I laughed. A lot.

Just because some stupid reality shows have the divas expecting something for every push- does not mean this trend needs to start.
The only gift you should give her is a few days after she and baby are home tell her to use the breast pump and that you will be on feeding/baby patrol for at least one night.

I got my wife some earrings, but only because it was right around Mother's day. If my daughter had been born another time of year, I wouldn't have.

I got her a diamond tennis bracelet, but our child was born in Dec and it kind of served as a birthing gift and a X-mas gift. I got her a few other small items for X-mas though.
