Does it change your perception of where the program is?
Most everybody knows where the program is and what the situation is. Fans know. Alums know. Ex-Players know.
A win would be nice, but a loss would just reinforce what the majority of the legit fan base already know.
Iowa is like Ole Miss. We should win by 2-3 touchdowns, but who knows what team will show up.
But Lordy Lordy Holy Moses, we have the Omnipotent One ( ) QB'ing the team now, so the Tigers should be OK to geaux.

I have about 400 "For Sale" signs ready for planting in Les' front yard every day if we lose that fricking game.

If Mettenberger was healthy and we lost then I would think something is wrong. Jennings is really unproven and young so there is no telling what may happen. Hoping for the best but if we lose then I think we need some more experience at QB.

Jusf like the loss to Clemson last year, I could not care less if LSU loses this game. It's a meaningless exhibition game (except for the BCSNCG they all are), and will have no bearing on how LSU performs next season. Don't get me wrong I hope LSU wins, but I don't get emotional one way or the other when it comes to bowl games.

I don't want to hear ULL folks for 9 months if LSU loses. That would miserable.

I really don't understand this. It doesn't matter to me if it's UA, UF, AU....or Towson. I want the guys to be successful.

No, but it will change my impression of the quality of young men we are recruiting.
LSU should have no problem beating Iowa if they go out and execute. Going back to 2011, theres been a severe lack of leadership in crucial moments for this team. I'd like to say that problem has been fixed this year, as this team performed pretty well despite the loss in talent to the draft.

God this place is nuts. Breaking in a freshmen QB, I expect a tight game and won't be suprised with a close loss. If they get blown out then panic.

I just wish Iowa was ranked and the game was at night...
My regret as well
We might be if we beat LSU...

I'm just curious about all of you who say that the board will be unbearable or everyone will bitch for the next 9 months, what exactly do you expect us to do/feel?
Another loss to a 4-loss Unranked Iowa team smells a lot like om loss and yet another LM coached game where he loses to somebody he shouldn't.
Lets just hope that isn't the case tommorrow afternoon.

i will be pissed for the day. then aggravated every time someone asks about the game.
however, in the grand scheme of things, it means very little. A loss will cause LSU to start 2014 ranked a bit lower, than if LSU wins.
playing a power running team, while both starting def tackles are looking forward to the combine, is not a good combination.
this board will be unreadable until next year's kickoff. "clm needs to go" crowd will piss me off more than the game itself....IF LSU loses. which they won't.

I agree, and if we landed the guys we are after the next day at the UA game I would forget about the loss very quickly

Not being a negatiger, but how important is this win?
As important as putting ice in your smoothie. shite don't matter folks. If we lose, so what, season is over and it is time for 2014. It's not like we are playing for a title.
Les Miles, on the other hand, might have one more year if we lose to Iowa.

quote:not true. Bowl games are huge, whether we are excited about the matchup or not. They always set the tone for the off season, affect recruiting to a degree and most importantly affect where you begin in the polls at the beginning of next year, even though its not fair or logical it happens for sure. Not to mention conference pride and other intangibles. They all add up.
but a loss will not hurt.

Guy's u guy's don't keep up much with the Tigers. I don't want a miracle , I wold just be happy with a Bowl win for us. I not sure Les has not forgotten how to win. Lose 3 out of the last 4. God help us if he loses this one.
