Not really. Under the Miles era LSU consistently shown they will come out flat and play down to competition. Very rarely has it been the opposite in the Miles era.

How telling is it when "a mediocre SEC team" is also the #14 ranked team in college football.

About as telling as this same team losing to ole miss, a 4-5 loss Uga team, Alabama, and needing a miracle to beat a 3 win ark team.
But hey Lonnie you tell em!

U are clueless and Lonnie did tell it like it really is. Lonnie sees the world objectivley. We lose on the road to Ga and barely get by Arkansas. Look around at any school other than FSU and see if anyone lost a game they shoudve won. I guess Fisher is the only good coach in America based on your argument.
Now go on whining about every little thing LSU does wrong but dont compare them to anyone else, just bitch all the time.
How about the coach that tried a 47 yd FG on 2nd down or the coach that called 8 running plays in the 2nd half after leading 26-3. And of course a coach trying a 57 yard FG with his back up kicker.
Lets fire Miles, who's your pick. Should be an easy one, this is all he has to do:
1 Not make a game day mistake
2 Graduate players
3 Pipleine to NFL
4 wins 75 % games against the toughest schedule
5 top 5 recruiting classes annually
6. Very few minimum NCAA sanctions.
7. Have the chest to last 9 years in this pressure cooker called the SEC West, dont invent a disease and dont run to the NFL.
Piece of cake right.
Who is he?

So in this list you complain about a win you don't like, losing to the #1 team on the road, losing to a Top 5 team on the road back when they were whole to make your point?
Good grief...
My only suggestion to you, and fans like you, is to quit LSU football. I'm not going to suggest you become a BAMA fan, because sooner rather than later their run is likely to end and then what will you do? I'd simply suggest having no permanent rooting interest and simply wait until week 10 or 11 and go out and buy a cap for which ever program is currently most likely to win it all that season.
But anyone who calls themselves a life long LSU fan who is not happy with the run we've had, are having and are likely to continue to have is simply never going to be happy. And to be honest, your happiness is not really all that much of a concern for me...shockingly. If all it amounted to was you being a miserable prick, then I'd leave you to it. But guys like you are like assholes in a movie they don't enjoy the movie and feeling compelled to stand up and scream at the screen and fellow patrons about how much they hate the movie. I've spent the better part of the last decade in Tiger stadium surrounded by unhappy assholes complaining about the longest sustained level of success in the program's history...and I'm a bit tired of it.

I don't think les miles should be replaced.
Never once have I said that.
Unlike you and other sunshine pumpers I'm just not satisfied being second.
The total of 6k tickets sold for tommorrow should tell you lots of other fans agree with me.
But hey that NC in 2007 was awesome wasn't it?

Meaningless game. It won't make a difference to me. But I want to win, of course.

In and of itself yes, lose 4 bowl games in a row? not acceptable with the talent and resources we have.

I bet this sounds so much better in your head than it does when you type it out, right?
Of the 110+ major college football programs, over the past 13 years (and for the foreseeable future) LSU stands only behind Alabama...and we don't stand that far back.
Our problem, such as it is, is that we happen to be playing second to a division rival which is currently coached by our former coach that is having an unprecedented run. Were it not for this, I'd like to think our run would be appreciated...at least by our own, ignorant fan base.
But if there is shame in being second, then why on fricking earth does any other program even bother...since they are clearly 3rd and well below that? What did all those LSU teams and coaches play for before 2000 when actually being in the national title hunt was little more than a dream? Why did fans show up in droves and drive the legend that is Tiger Stadium?
While the goal ought to be seeing what can be done to move up into the #1 slot, while we're attempting to do that there is nothing to be gained by suggesting we're anything other than #2 and appreciate, respect and laud that lofty accomplishment...because it's a position LSU has never been in during the history of our program.

It sure was! So was the one in 2003. If I believed in such things, I'd say I was blessed for having been able to see 2 of LSU's 3 national titles since having season tickets beginning in 2001. We've won 2/3rds of our titles in the past 10 years...and people act like we're doomed.

Folks, the QB, who started for us the last two years, will not be playing. Does anyone really think that this won't have an effect on the course of the game? I welcome AJ to the starting lineup, but it would be foolish to expect him to pick right up where Mett was. Wouldn't you expect there to be a let down in morale over this, too?
Accordingly, everyone saying that a loss automatically reflects badly on the program is overreaching. I don't want us to lose, but - even with Mett - we could lose.
On the other hand, it will most certainly be a huge victory if we win. Iowa is better than Ole Miss, in my opinion. Just because they play in the Big 10 does not make them on par with UL-Lafayette.

TLDR
It's obv you are content with 2-3-4 losses per year.
That's cool .
Takes all kinds.

Lost my link to it, but broken down by year, it's 2005 to present carrying majority of the weight.
This era is epic.
Oh, and I always want LSU to win, even Sand Volleyball.

No. Other than BCS bowls don't mean much other than extra practices for the team

I think the only thing that's been obvious in this thread is the inability of some of our "fans" to admit that being the second best program in all of college football for over a decade with the potential of staying there or improving over the next IS an accomplishment worthy of being praised. Given that in the entire history of our program we've NEVER been this good, it's hilarious to suddenly be better than we ever have AND have fans angry that we are not better.
