Question for the Iowa fans. What is the general opinion on KF? Not knocking the guy but based on success he has the be the most overpaid coach in college athletics. Thoughts?

It is what it is, I'm not going to get into the never ending topic. I'm just glad we are not Purdue, Illinois, NW, or Indiana. Just wish recruiting was better.

So question for you. What did you think of LSU's coaching in this game? As an impartial observer. Be interesting to hear.

Well I didn't watch LSU with Mett, so I can't compare to how you've looked all year. Offensively I think Miles in the first half didn't really know how Jennings was going to play, that kinda resulted in LSU being one dimensional. Luckily you've got a horse for a RB, which I thought our LBers would do much better against, but the passing game should be Jennings focus this off season.

Other things I noticed was whom ever calls the offensive plays didn't really have a method, at one point all runs, then up by 14 instead of running it down our throat you all go on a passing spree and end up throwing a pick. Also communication at the end of the game could have been handled better.

Does LSU usually try to run trick plays BTW? Didn't expect that.

Good game. I'll be in Ft Collins next week

Wonderful college town, lived here for 5 years now and have enjoyed each year even more. As of today the perks of being a Colorado resident is paying off. :pimp:

Congrats to LSU

Saw the other thread turning negative. No shame in losing to this LSU team. You all have a lot of talent, it was nice knowing where our player stand compared to teams that do better on the recruiting trail.

Very impressed with Hill and your D line, from what I saw you had a couple starters out. With Iowa we learned that Canzeri should be our RB, King the CB will prove to be very solid, we NEED WR's and we will miss our trio of SR LBers.

Many things to take from this game for both teams, wish the best of luck to LSU next year.

Any chance some of that NFL talent stays on for another year?

Real teams don't need fans.

Only 6000 tickets sold to Tiger fans for Outback Bowl

I saw online, that there has been almost 50,000 tickets sold to the game, I'd be willing to bet that 30,000 and maybe more are Iowa fans. We will see on gameday, but hey at least it won't be a empty stadium.

I see. So Iowa sold 10,440 tickets, but somehow there are 19,560+ other additional Iowa fans attending. Gotcha.
Is Florda like, where Iowa graduates go to live and work?

Yet one of your own fans in another thread stated he has seen three times more Iowa fans...

And yes their are lots of Hawkeyes in Florida as well as Texas, Illinois, Arizona, Colorado and California.

My regret as well

We might be if we beat LSU...
Iowa does lack in the offensive stats department compared to LSU, but keep in mind that's not Kirks style. We do however have seven players with over 12 catches on the year, with many more with between 5-8 catches on the year. In other words while not an offensive juggernaut, we do spread the ball around to many different players. Probably because we don't have a stand out guy, we just have to find the player that is making plays that particular game.
I wish we would schedule some cool games, this has been a hot topic on Iowa boards over the years. Under Hayden Fry we had tons of quality games and even into a couple of Kirks early years. I guess he figures Iowa is usually a team that takes a few games to gel so they don't schedule top tier schools.

Whats more important though, exposure and a chance for a win or a win vs sub par teams.

I would love for Iowa to cut the ISU game back to every couple years and play teams that we should be like Missouri, Kansas St, Kansas, ND, and all the schools in states where Hawkeyes roam like Arizona, California, Colorado, Texas, Florida each state with multiple BCS schools save Colorado.

Dude, no I'm not. Neither is half of the Iowa fans on this board. We live all across the country, and outnumber most in the SEC.

I fully understand the two. You come on here and say LSU fans only rant and don't give anything statistical or factual about the game. I've brought you stats countering and questioning most of your posts.

Yet the only thing you reply to is the fact your grammar sucks.

Thanks for proving my point about lack of reading comprehension as well as sentence structure.

You are correct, thanks for proving me right again. I have said nothing about grammar, I said I wish some on this board could develop better reading comprehension because everything I say get misconstrued into something I didn't say.

Like you just did again.
Sentence structure and reading comprehension are two totally different things, not that I'd expect you to understand.
:dope: I wish LSU fans could comprehend sentences better.

You are in TOTAL denial and will not look at how good the other team is you are playing... I gave ya a chance by being civil.. But you are a clueless excuse making dumbass... I just hope YOU come back on Jan 2nd to take your beating after running your mouth.. I doubt you will....

Dude, you've got to be mistaking me for NChawk or the other one. Nothing I'm saying is disrespecting LSU, in fact if you'd look into my comments a little you'd probably see that I consider LSU a great one and mostly better than 13 of your conference mates. I have mainly been talking about generalities.

What does me saying that faster teams lose to slower teams every year have to do with me knowing anything about LSU football?

You don't seem to kknow much about how good this LSU team is compared to the teams you have played this year.....OSU is about as close as you can get...LSU is bigger , faster, and has way more quality depth than Iowa.. NOW if it rains and the field is sloppy??? Iowa has a good shot. but on a dry field?? LSU wins going away. No matter how focused they are...

Do you gamble? I think you should start betting on sports, you have some serious insight.

Teams like Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, USC never lose on sunny days.
What does me saying that faster teams lose to slower teams every year have to do with me knowing anything about LSU football?

Since this keeps going I am gonna give my take of the game.

If Iowa, as he says, plays 2 deep safeties and 7 in the box they will get killed by Les Miles football. We will pound you into the sand! You will not stop Hill and company running the ball like this. On top of that there will be many running lanes for AJ to run wild.

If you decide to stack the box you will see the option and we have the speed to run around the edge.

Bring in the safeties to stop the run Landry and ODB will be wide open. You don't have corners to cover them or Dural one on one and AJ has a very accurate arm.

You are gonna see a totally different offense than you have ever seen from LSU with AJ behind the center.

On Defense we have the athletes to beat anyone! With this much time to prepare against a slower team, the Chief will have them ready.

Hear this every bowl game, nothing new. Yet every year a few of these "faster" teams lose, which no one can seem to understand.

I think you will see Iowa focused on controlling the clock. From what I've seen this year, probably a lot of rushes, screens and short passes. More concerned with LSU's defensive speed, as Iowa needs to have positive plays on first downs, otherwise it will be a long day for us.

Probably tie your players shoelaces together.

If I remember right, some of you all wanted to play Michigan?? What do you think about that now? So sad, for Michigan fans.
