One of my hunts from this weekend. Had a great time with some friends that I don't get to see very often.

Hey guys,
I wanted to try out some different calibers w/ this year's deer season. During the AR early doe hunt, I was able to harvest a doe using an XP-100 in 7mm BR. Although I've killed a lot of deer w/ Contenders, it was the first XP kill for me. Next I wanted to try a newly purchased (but used) XP chambered in 7-08.

Shot this doe at 125 yards w/ the 7-08, using a handload w/ 140 Nosler Ballistic Tip at 2600 fps muzzle velocity. Shot was upper 1/3 of lungs, just behind the shoulder. The doe left a good blood trail and travelled only 75 yards before piling up. The pic shows the exit hole.

I'm looking forward to a future of good hunts w/ this XP.

I don't think so haha, that statement likely described 70% of people hunting near the coast this weekend

We fished around Little Lake in Cut Off. Elusiveporpi, myself and my pops contributed to that box.

It was even down in Houma. I had frost on my yak. Well, that was until I started getting fish slime all over it.

Yes. Gear box went up in flames and left me stranded in the marsh. Had to call my dad to come pull me back in.

Eta: did I mention that the tide pulled every inch of water out of our hole and left me on a mud flat in the marsh? We got out, but damn it was muddy.
