Shaw has a sweet gig where he's at. No way I could see him leaving it to follow Saban's act.

Bama would not hire Shaw and Shaw would not go to Bama.**

(1) Smart
(2) Dabo
(3) Del Rio or some other NFL guy...

While they are loaded with talent, it would be no small task following in the footsteps of Saban. Not many would want that type of pressure.

**Shaw will be the 2016 coach at LSU

Bama is a hard job with incredibly high expectations. It took them 30 years to find a replacement for the Bear. They could be in for the same kind of search if Saban leaves. I don't think it's quite as easy a sell as Texas. Still a great job obviously, but I don't think they can just get anybody in the country.

That's a long way of saying there's no chance in hell Shaw is coming to Bama.

Shaw would be a terrible hire. He is successful because he gets good athletes that are brilliant and can understand what he teaches, at Bama we would get great athletes that are borderline retarded and wouldn't understand even 1/2 of what he tried to implement.

If I was the Alabama AD I'd seriously consider Bill O'Brien. I'd stay away from Dabo unless he brought Morris with him which is doubtful considering he will be a head coach next year probably.

They probably give it to Smart initially and hope the 7+ years with Saban has rubbed off on him.

It would make the LSU-Bama game even more ridiculous.

Plus he coached the Dolphins.
