I agree with both of those points.

Alleva has to pay the consulting firm to help figure out the traffic mess somehow.

they already charge different prices for the SEC and rent-a-win games. how much more flexible are they going to get?
games in august and september will be cheaper than games in october and november due to outside air temp?
i know they can't but they should try to fit kickoff time into the price factor.

I agree Alleva should have said that like they did with parking. We'll be having paid parking lots this year but in return you get comfort style restrooms and more port o lets.
I think they should raise student prices too and maybe it'll force more of them to attend games.

The plan will also see the pricing structure for Tiger Stadium adjusted to allow for more flexibility in future pricing based on seat location and demand.
As for the flexible pricing plan, the athletic department is seeking approval to price tickets based on opponent and the date of the game.
Don't they already price tickets based on opponent?
Furman, N Texas, et al. are $40. SEC tickets are $50 or $70.
What they should do is evenly divide the cost of season ticket holders' tickets to whatever that cost is and upcharge the price of the away fans tickets. Texas A&M charged $100 for each ticket at College Station. We should return the favor.

Our announcers suck. It might not have anything to do with the actual gameday experience at the stadium, but it does have everything to do with the overall impression and enjoyment of the game for LSU fans and opponents. We pay to be among the best. Why can't we expect to have the best announcers we can buy? I don't care what A&M has. I am not an A&M fan. Without Manziel they are a step above Vandy.
I also agree 100% with the point made about the concessions available at Tiger Stadium. You could actually charge more if you allow for higher quality cuisine.

Infuriating after the shite that happened both inside and outside the stadium this past weekend. They don't give a frick about the fans.

Would this be a good time to donate $100 this year and $100 January 2014 in order to get season tickets? Would buying bball season tickets help with points?
Baseball tickets have a waiting list too.
You only get 3 points for each consecutive year.
I've been donating $100 every year for 10 years on top of about $30K worth of priority points and I still only get 2 upper deck away game tickets per game.
You're better off stubhubbing or ebaying or buying outside.

Yep. You can probably buy tickets for all 12 games in the after market for less then the LSU home season ticket.

Dropped mine this year. Best decision I could've made.
Went from paying $600 for an upper SEZ ticket to paying $20 total for 4 games this year.

So you paid $20 for a Florida ticket?

I'm doing the same thing next year. I'll keep them in my name, and sell them before the season starts. With the shite schedule next year, I'll gladly pay $5 a ticket before kickoff and pony up a little more for the Alabama game.

This decision will drive more people off, which means the ones that stay will pay more. Sighhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Considering not renewing my 4 also. Have always known I would pass my tickets down to my kids but not so sure anymore.
Yeah, they have a waiting list. Wait till the sticker shock of these increases in tickets and TAF as well as EVERYTHING that goes along with season tickets hits the waiting list people. The turnover is going to be quick and the list will dwindle.
LSU admin sucks, if they go through with these increases and dont improve the gameday experience they better hope their list is up to date.

The statement is a ball faced lie. Up until last season there was 1 premium ticket-Bama last year Florida the year before- for $70. Other SEC games were $50. This seaon all SEC games are $70. I say we had a price increase

Can the paying fan base get something in return for this price hike? Perhaps having LSU demand that we play more marquee games on Saturday night in Death Valley?

Excellent point. Another reason I have a problem with paying a lot of money for season tickets and feel like I am getting screwed by these neutral site games. I have wanted to see LSU play Wiscy all my life (not even sure why) and we finally play them and I have to go to fricking Houston or fricking Fargo to see it? W T F? Slap in the face to the season ticket holders big time.
I pay more for lame arse home schedules when there are quality OOC opponents on the schedule? It is hard to fathom.
