The perfect actor to take over Batman

The wife and I were watching The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) the other night
I had forgotten that the current Superman, Henry Cavill has a supporting role in that movie.
I watched the chemistry he had with the star of the film, Jim Caviezel...and it occurred to me...Caviezel would be the PERFECT actor to play Batman when they make a Justice League movie.
Am I nuts?
I hate all the other names I've heard bandied around, such as Armie Hammer.

Jon Hamm would be a good Bruce Wayne. Not sure how he'd do with action scenes though.

Cavaziel might be too old. Whoever takes over needs to be able to do two or three movies over a 6-8 year span.

Michael Cera is the clear choice for the next generation of Batman movies. Easily.

I think Jake Gyllenhaal would do a good job as Batman. A lot of people probably wouldn't like that choice. But there is no doubt he has the depth to play Batman.

IIRC isn't Nightwing or Azrael supposed to come after Batman's back breaking? I'll have to look but I believe it's a new person all together.

This dudes' got the chin for it, and is an acting fool. Pretty close to getting a little long-toothed though.
As an aside, I think the next Batman should be 'Merican-just my humble.
