Miles couldn't develop him properly.

I understand Cam Cameron calls the plays but it's obvious that Miles tells him to run it or pass it most plays. Why? Because if not, Cameron would most definitely pass it the majority of the time.

Do you know this for sure? Like, do you have hard evidence to support your claims?

Why does Miles run the stupid arse I formation so many damn times

Sounds like you answered your own question.

You watched it didn't you? The joke is on you.
Miles has lost control of Baylor's athleticism.

The movie isn't about Rosebud. It's about Orson Welles reinventing cinema.
A hobby. You should find one.

Can war movies from pre-1970 really stand up to anything done with better technology

So is this like saying Playstation 4 games will always be better than SNES games because the graphics are better?

Cognitive dissonance. You are using it to distort the meanings behind Miles' comments to fit your agenda with no regard to context. Typical Rantards.

One really good scene. One really good scene in ~6 hours of some of the worst atrocities ever committed to celluloid.

You sound like some classy and mature fans.

We were expecting a dropoff but not this bad

I seem to recall a lot of fans expecting 3-4 losses this year. Well here we are.
quote:

Biggest disappointments in my opinion have been Gilmore, Bain, and Herron. These guys came in with high - maybe too high - expectations and other than Herron haven't even seen the field.

I know I am spinning my wheels here but...

All those guys are freshmen. Freshmen. LSU fans have been extremely spoiled because freshmen have stepped up in previous years. But, that isn't gonna happen every year in the most competitive division in the most competitive conference in college football. It's just not gonna happen. And I'm sure if they played for Bama they each would be Heisman finalists but Bama is on a different level from everybody else. Just accept that this team will simply be meeting expectations this year and get ready for a brighter future.
quote:

Chief has been a major disappointment this year.

The defense has performed pretty much how most rational fans thought they would at the beginning of the season

The talent is there but the grasp of the defense and experience just isn't. Welter stays in there because he is the only one who can get everybody lined up correctly.

Chavis has been one if the best DCs in college football and he will right the ship.
I would hope his children aren't that selfish.

Everything is framed in a simplistic good/bad, black/white, Republican/Democrat fashion and the bigger questions about the Big Picture go unanswered.

Jon Stewart pointed this out not too long ago. He showed clips of Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN talking heads asking every guest they interviewed, "Is this a good or bad thing?"

It was brilliant.

Not enough long, pensive takes or brooding, philosophical dialogue for me. It's not even in black and white.

You don't have to "have been there." You just have to have a relative understanding of the Cold War and the absurdities associated with it.
