Hud is the best coach that USL/ULL has had in decades, I think he was actually stating that ULL softball had just had a victory over a quality team, at least that's the way I choose to read it.
I get kind of tired of the goofy back and forth between portions of the 2 fan bases. Both fa nbases should support the other school unless they play each other. There is no rivalry there in football by any stretch with no real potential. There could be in softball and possibly in baseball at some point but there isn't now.
As fan of both schools I say

Can we just sticky this thread so the same dumb shite doesnt have to be posted 20 times a year. It comes up every year ULL and LSU play in softball and i bet anything it comes up again in 2 weeks when ULL gets sent to LSU's regional for baseball. LSU is a better program, great. I love both programs and no one in their right mind really believes ULL is on LSU's level. Only sport they compete against LSU is in softball. Yes they win every now and then in baseball but usually just a mid week game that has no meaning, in regionals they dont fair very well. Ull has had a good year by our standards in Football, baseball, and softball. It's not championship caliber teams but teams that compete and most of us are fine with that. Dog us all you want but a new orelans bowl win is fine for us. When you suck for so long in football any bowl win is nice

The key word there is some. Some people still think the earth is flat. Do I think it is within the realm of possibilities that ULL could one day win a football game against LSU? There could be some freak accident during the Tiger walk and who knows? Statistically, though, I'd say it's close to 0%.

What I don't understand is why the University of Louisana AT LAFAYETTE and their fans cannot and will not accept that this is their name. It is not "University of Louisiana" or UL. If you hate ULL so much petition the legislature to go back to USL. If being Southwestern Louisiana offfends you, change it to University of Southern Louisiana.
