Are the Rocket's championships tarnished?

They were the gap team to win it all while Jordan was in the middle of his 2 year retirement. Bulls win 3 straight, Jordan retires, and then they win 3 more in a row as soon as he is back.
What does this say about those championships?
Another way to ask this: Would the Bulls have won 8 in a row if Jordan never retires?
If the Heat were to win 3 in a row, Lebron randomly retires, the Thunder were to win 1-2, and Lebron returns to immediately win 3 more, I would definitely feel those hypothetical Thunder championships would be tarnished. No doubt.

Not exactly. Jordan's team was in the playoffs during the second title for Houston. Guess Stern cut his 2 year suspension short.

No titles are tarnished. Not the Rockets fault Jordan quit. This topic has been beaten to death. To assume the Bulls just win 8 straight is silly. Seeing as the death of his father affected him so much he retired and played minor league baseball, i see no reason to just assume they win a 4th in 94. The 3rd title was also the hardest of the first 3 to win, he had the gambling stories and started to get bad press for the first time ever. I think people grossly underestimate the motivation factor.
