Personally, I prefer Fat Pat's and Max's.

What say you, F&D Board? Also, those of you lucky enough to eat at the places listed for other states, YEA or NAY?

ETA: That green chile cheeseburger from the joint in New Mexico looks pretty damn good.

I've never been to Judice Inn.

I've been to Burger Up in Nashville. It's good, but The Pharmacy is better.

No way it's the best. Burgers without fries is just un-American.

I went to Judice Inn a few years ago, expecting to be blown away.

What I got was a very meh burger.

I know the place has been around forever so I'm guessing it's living off of its extended history.

I've been there and its awesome. Taos has a few really good restaurants, Taos Inn being my favorite.

It's a Lafayette tradition and i think there's a high nostalgia factor associated with the place, and with the burger. If you grew up in Lafayette eating them, odds are you like them and it's a reference point for you. I grew up eating them, my parents grew up eating them, and so on.

I think it's silly to try to characterize a "best" burger given the variety of styles of burgers that are out there. Smashburger, In'n Out, Five Guys, Shake Shack, etc, are all really good for what they are, and each is different in its own way. I'm not sure it's a useful exercise to try and determine which is "best".

Ahhh... I miss Judice Inn.

Two double burgers and a glass bottle of coke.

Dude, do yourself a favor and come down to Nola and have a Company Burger. It's like crack. Probably been there about 60-70 times since they opened a little more than 2 years ago. Cowbell is also a fantastic burger, but different style. I like Judice Inn, but it doesn't wow me like Company or Cowbell.
