That's another good thing about going to the event, they usually have a bunch of hot chicks out there.

I like following my favorite golfers for a little and then I'll go hang out on a par 3 when I go to Bay Hill. I know my Father and Uncle spend pretty much the entire first day but doing nothing besides taking pictures and seeing the whole course the first day at Augusta. It's the prestige that the course carries and the fact that they will never get a chance to play it or even go there except that one week a year.

In terms of majors, I break it down like this.
People go to Augusta for the course itself
People go to the US Open for the difficulty
People go to the British Open for the history
People go to the PGA Championship...I don't know...just because.

Went to the SHO for my first pro golf tournament experience. It was awesome. Where else can you get so close to the pro's for $20. My kid got high fives from Phil Mickelson and Hunter Mayhan. He was so excited and to see the look on his face was priceless. You would have to pay BIG money to get that close at any other sporting event.

Fixed it. But Lester isn't interested in that. He just wants to stand in line for poboys.

Would you pay 7 grand for a chance to smell tigers breath or have daly autograph a card?
I'm not really talking about the smaller events. The bigger ones.

I guess this stems from everyone saying going to the Masters is on their bucket list.
Well Augusta National is arguably the best golf course on the planet and the tournament itself is perhaps the best that exists. That is why you see it on a lot of bucket lists. What isn't alluring about seeing something that is the best of it's kind in person? The beauty of the course is really unparalleled.
Now as far as random golf tournaments, I'm not so sure about those.

unless you get to play it, it doesnt seem that alluring to me,
im just a casual golf fan.
It seems like that with such an important event, you'd want to make sure you dont miss anything.
There are 18 different holes, and a large number of golfers. It's just hard to see everything. and i feel like you'd want to

It's a good life lesson. You can see it all.

im not hating on it at all. just really wondering.
I love watching it on TV. You get to see all that is going. It would be hard for me to shell out that much cash and possibly miss a lot of things happening.

I have worked the Senior Golf tourney here on the coast a couple of times and it is a blast to go to. They way the pros can hit a ball and how they can shape a shot is amazing in person.

I almost went to the Senior event this year, kind of wish I would have. Watching Fred Couples hit a ball the way he does for a 53 yr old is amazing.

Have you gone to the Zurich?
It's pretty cool to stand 5 feet from Bubba, or Ernie, and see them strike the ball. T.V. doesn't really do it justice.
Go this year on like Thurs or Friday. $25, worth it.

I'm not a big golf fan, but I went to a Senior Tour event once. It was kind of fun. We walked the course, chilled out at a few holes, saw a hole in one, and then spent a hole in Arnie's Army just to do it.
I wouldn't spend a bunch of money on it, but it was a cool experience I rather enjoyed. Of course, by the time the leaders got to 18, it was too packed to see, so we left with the tourney still going on.
