were you not a fan of any NBA team before 2002, when the hornets relocated from charlotte?

or did you just abandon your previous NBA team when the hornets moved to NOLA?

I was a casual NBA fan, followed the Magic because I lived in Florida for a little while during the Shaq/Penny years. I was an instant Hornets fan when they moved over. Didn't have enough allegiance to Orlando.

I just liked basketball. I was all over the place. Then I went to a few games that first year and it was a lot of fun. Since then I keep following them and here I am now.

I didn't realize what the NBA was if you want to know the truth. I just heard about it in 2002 when these assholes relocated and displaced my favorite team in all of sports . . . the New Orleans Brass. But, as a consolation, I was given first crack at center court tickets because I'd been a Brass season ticket holder. See, the Arena worked that way. It was a pretty good deal. Anyway, I looked into this NBA thing and realized it was professional basketball. What the frick? I followed the Celtics when I was a kid (for some reason, I didn't make the connection . . . "NBA" . . . professional basketball . . . go figure). So, I mean, I was rich and a real cool motherfricker (still am, by the way) and wanted a place to take my 'ho's from Rick's Cabaret and impress them in the Club, so what the frick? You know what I mean? So one night, one of my bitches was annoying the shite out of me so I decided to actually watch the game. And, damned if it wasn't pretty entertaining. So then I decided to learn who was on the team. And, shite, it just took off from there. God Bless America.

I was a big NBA fan during the Jordan era but stopped following after that. I tried to get into the Hawks when I first moved to the ATL but it's really hard to get into that team when no one else in the city cares. When I moved back to LA I started following the Hornets, I jumped on the bandwagon just as the CP3 era ship was sinking and I've been hooked since.

Never really followed until CP3 was drafted. After that I slowly picked it up and began to love them. Bower FTW

I was 8 when the Hornets moved to New Orleans so I had no prior knowledge of the NBA and that's around the time I started watching ESPN. Became a Hornets fan off the bat because they are obviously my home team. I like many players in the NBA but can only truly support the Hornets. Was like 10 when the D-Wade led Heat beat us in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference 1st Round in 03 or 04.

Been a die hard since, now ready for this Pelicans era to begin as soon as this season ends.

I was a Rockets fan due to the majority of my family living there and the proximity. When the Hornets came to NOLA I instantly liked them as much as the Rockets. I now talk shite to my family who are all Rockets fans and have grown to dislike them.

Diehard Hornet/Pelican now

I would pull for LSU players because I grew up around LSU basketball. Other than that, I was just a basketball fan.

I am huge fan of basketball period, and my favorite team is the Spurs. Before I moved to NOLA I would watch Hornets game and I even made it to a couple. After I moved to NOLA I had the chance at season tickets and jumped on it. Sometimes its a conflict of interest but I just look at it like I have two favorite teams.

I was a Pacer fan... really a huge Reggie Miller fan. He basically retired the same time the team came to NOLA.

You gotta root for the home team.

I was a NBA fan growing up with no particular ties to any team. Jumped on board when they moved here.

I was a Shaq fan when he entered the league. Grand mama ( Larry Johnson) was my second favorite player behind Shaq. My family and I moved to Charlotte in 1996 and I became a huge Hornets fan. We move back to BR in 1999 and the Hornets followed me soon after.
