The thread title is "exceptional", not "exceptionally bad."
I take that back. Vanilla Double Dog is perfectly average.

SOS and Double dog are good, though not above average and not anywhere near exceptional. The rest are below average.

Well I didn't literally mean exceptional...just responding to Abita "mailing it in." I think Abita gets shat on far too much. Those are all solid beers imo. It's cool to hate Abita.

Christmas Ale for bottom of the bottom.
Sweetwater gets a lot of mention, but many of their standard rotation is a bit meh. 420 is good, Festive Ale and Happy Endings are really good and many of the Dank Tank series are very good. The Danktoberfest release was exceptional IMO.
ETA-All the Sammy Octoberfest fan boys should try that Danktoberfest and they will understand what many have said about way too many really good Octoberfest beers on the market to settle for the Sammy.

I'm not as well versed as most of the guys on here, and Jockamo is one of the worst beers I've ever had that isn't aimed at a light lager crowd.

Southern Gentleman was good
Southern Pecan is solid for style. Rest of lineup is just ok

yeah, i know a lot of people like that one, so maybe not a good example. i just personally don't care for any outside of timber beast.

Bishops Barrel 1 is easily the best thing ever to come out of St Arnold, and I'm a big fan of Pumpkinator.

if they would just bottle their select series in bombers then a lot of people's opinions would probably change.

Glad you and I agree, bay
I think it is amazingly smooth and balanced

I am not a huge beer drinker, but I do enjoy the Abita Springs Stawberry beer when the season comes around. They only use fresh strawberries in the beer, so it is a seasonal beer. Covington Brewery also has a strawberry flavor, but they do not use fresh strawberries.

I don't believe it's like that any more. Pretty sure Abita uses the extract not a days.

Shiner Cheer
Shiner is my vote. Cheer is their best product IMO. But their Bock is of course good and what they are known. Black is good. Blonde is good. the only thing Shiner makes that disappoints me is their Heffeweissen. I love the style but theirs sucks.
Someone mentioned Lagunitas and Sierra Nevada? What is "average" and what do you consider an exceptional brewery? I mean damn! Unless made in Belgium it does not make cut?
